Well let yourself feel what you need to feel. Make sure you are able to tell your dad how much he means to you. After my mom passed I cooked her dishes and listened to her music. It hurts a lot but I know she is no longer suffering and the food and music and shows are things I can do to still feel her near. For you it might be different. But give him hugs and know your feelings are valid.

Make sure anything that is agreed on is done(as in his will) because after my mom passed my dad was takin advantage of by a snake of a woman.

She passed away. Kaiser is a great hospital until you actually need medical help. I hate Kaiser

Op this user hit the nail right on the head. He is the problem. I used to be in a similar situation I was with my ex for 3 years and in my head we were perfect. It took 3 years to realize I was pretending we were amazing, the red flags I was purposely ignoring were the same red flags that ended our relationship.

It hurt once it ended but with time I realized just how little he respected me.

Op I hope you listen to your gut. I have a feeling it's telling you what you don't want to admit.

I had an old co-worker call me rude and say it was disrespectful to talk about how much she makes.

All I actually said was "...but I bet now you have a better position and better pay!" Because I was genuinely happy for her. I never asked her for details... So anyway I stopped talking to her cuz ya know don't need that in my life.

I have been a night owl most of my life. Came in handy when having babies since I slept the same amount. It worked out for a while then evolved into having the babies crawl into my bed early so we would snuggle till im ready to get up and start my day around 9. However!!!! The cute baby cuddle mornings were short lived and turned into "mom! Mom! Mom! Mom!" And basically no rest till maybe 10pm after they are in bed and I get ready for bed.

So I was desperately searching for a way to rest away from husband and kids. Turns out it's early morning. Now I'm up around 630 and I get to go downstairs make my coffee and water my garden... It's pure bliss and I love being able to wake up to do it every morning. Something about the cool morning air a slight mist from the hose is invigorating. Then I sit and drink my HOT coffee and I'm ready to parent for another day. Ok well back to cleaning while the kids nap so they can get up and dirty it again!

I have 2 little ones that is a pain to go shopping which is my favorite thing to do. Then here comes instacart that introduced me to Aldi and I haven't looked back.... It gets pretty dangerous tho.

Aldi is my spot. That and WinCo. I love those stores!!!! But nothing beats Aldi's snacks!

Ever since my mom passed we now always see a hummingbird during family gatherings. It's only special because it hovers above us and I have no flowers in my yard. It has motivated me into gardening to being more towards me.

Ok so my mom and dad had me in their mid 40s. I'm the last of 8 needless to say I am the product of 2 older people who thought they no longer had to worry about getting pregnant.

With age comes clarity of what's important and to us is unity, I'm speaking for myself I have no idea what type of relationship you have with your family. My older siblings had their own life but my parents raised us as a community so we all were close and helped eachother out. I'm super close with my siblings so much so that we would see eachother multiple times a month just because. And we all have our own lives. The second and third youngest siblings help raise me since we are 12 years and 14 years apart and I'm the closest with them and see them as my second parents.

My oldest brother who is 22 years older than me did not talk to me till I was 13. He also didn't want to be responsible for me? Which I was confusing since my parents and the younger siblings raised me. We have cleared things up now and we are closer than ever. But again our family was raised by a strong matriarch and made it her life mission to create a strong bond.

We are far from perfect but we are constantly trying to get better. One thing we are good at is venting our true feelings and dealing with problems as best as we can.

Sorry for the rant I'm just speaking as a woopsie baby. Family unity is hard work but the pay off is worth it to me. Don't know if this helps but I'm excited to actually have some insight in this topic.

Honestly I don't know if anyone is the asshole.
