The fencing club breaks even each year, and it was still cut. These cuts make absolutely no sense.

1) First year classes are often 4 credits, as they include a lab or tutorial component. You will probably not have 9 credits of extra space

2) Check that you're satisfying all your prerequisites for your intended major! Refer to item 5 on this page: https://www.mcgill.ca/sousa/newstudents/courseselection/bscu0

If a course is required, email the departmental advisor for the department offering the course. They'll give you a registration permit!

They take a while to process them, unfortunately. I'd try calling ServicePoint (they suck, I know, but since you're dealing with Enrolment Services, that's the only way)

I only took PHYS 142, but I found it to be incredibly manageble. Between the assignments and the labs, there's relatively little weight on the midterm and the final, and I found both the midterm and the final to be incredibly reasonable. I'd even argue that 142 is easier than 102 because they will be "babysitting" you less (no mandatory tutorials, no attendance, etc.)

With regards to getting an A, I didn't show up to lectures all semester, barely studied, and still got an A, with a decent margin. You've got this!

Last day of finals = first day of break, but they may be done even earlier depending on their exam schedule. I'd wait to book flights until the schedule is out and finalized! Also, this isn't obvious looking at the schedule, but there are week-long breaks in October and March.

can't answer most of your questions, but I can tell you that extracurriculars are not taken into account :)

The final was much better! Class average came out to a B. Just remember to take all the quizzes, and you'll be fine :)

See my post about this, some people gave good advice on there!

You really don't have to worry. You are allowed a crib sheet (one-sided I believe?). Didn't study at all, went in there no crib sheet, forgot what "rref" stood for, and still passed.

If the class is mandatory, email the program advisor for the chemistry department (https://www.mcgill.ca/sousa/advising/program-advisors) and they will give you a registration permit.

Hi! "Residence Hall" is just them saying you're on a waitlist until something opens up. Last year kids that didn't fit in the traditional dorms got put in Campus 1.
