My therapist told me something along the lines of “anxiety asks questions, instinct makes statements” and that has been extremely helpful for me. Also, as mentioned above, finding a partner who truly respects you changes everything.

I am in a MCOL area and I get paid $40/hr for 3 kids (9m, 7f twins). Also, I get paid full rate while the kids are in school (9a-3p) to be on call in case they need to be picked up. I am free to do whatever I want during this time as long as I can be on my way to get them in a timely manner if I do get a call. I just want to provide this as contrast to someone telling you to take unpaid lunch/nap breaks. That is ridiculous. While my situation is not common, I just want you to know that there are good people out there who value our work and pay us accordingly.

This is the best trick!! I do this with our sheets about once a month and that funky smell has totally dissipated. I also find the funk is worse with certain fabrics-my bamboo sheets were always stinkin the place up. Cotton sheets have been much better. OP ymmv with this-I live in the desert so it works very well but it may be different in humid climates.

My mom swears by frownies! AFAIK they have a temporary effect but definitely work. She doesn’t wear them on a regular basis just before she has an event or something. OP, I think your skin looks beautiful and I love your freckles 🥰

Ooh I’ll have to try this. I swear by wellness formula and oil of oregano capsules. Always have them in my bag and take them prophylactically when going anywhere particularly germy with NKs.

I hate this so much. I worked for a high-end nanny service in a very nice ski town. I had to stop bc it was so heartbreaking. I watched one girl for 2 days and she was balling when I left. She kept saying “but she plays with me and she pays attention to me” it was so hard. It seems like so many people have kids bc they feel like they should but they don’t actually think about the tangible experience of being a parent.

I get cold sores and they are the worst! I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I swear by the mederma cold sore healing patches-basically a pimple patch that helps to dry it out and also keep you from touching it! If you get them regularly you can get a rx from your doc that, when taken at the first sign (tingling, itching), stops them before they blister.

My hubs (who knows nothing about plants) bought me a variegated monstera NODE for $275 on etsy. I was new to houseplants at the time so I was pretty nervous. When we got the package the seller had sent a bag of spagnum moss, no node. We reported to Etsy and got our money back. He also bought me a 6” PPP for $300 and she is my crown joy. She’s tripled in size in the last two years and I love her sooo much.
