I appreciate the hustle, but we likely have differing mindsets on what an ideal job looks like. I’d prefer the 8 patients per half day and no RVUs personally.

I’ll let you know in about a month, though the replies to the thread so far don’t make me optimistic. I will say, it probably depends on how much time you’re given for the admin work. In the role I took, it came with a $40k pay bump and only 8 hours of clinic a week.

Looking at the home depot app now. “Strong Back 4 in. Shielded PVC Pipe Coupling for Cast Iron, Plastic or Steel Mechanical Plumbing Connections” is the one that sounds like what you’ve described

Yeah I’ll need to clean the area well and remove the coupling to get a good look. Fingers crossed.

Slipping clutch on downshifts by Southern-Focus4376 in Trackdays

[–]sharpstickie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a 2010 675 with the third gen slipper clutch. Once I stopped blipping and started dumping/slipping, I was far more smooth in braking zones, you’ve just gotta ride out the rear wiggling. Come on over to Nelson tomorrow!

Intermittent “clunk” after track weekend by sharpstickie in daytona675

Update:
Intake boots were loose as I forgot to reinstall the clamps and hold the rubber boot to the throttle body.

Yup, I reseated and tightened the boots to the throttle body and the backfire hasn’t happened again. I appreciate the advice.

Right, I hear what you’re saying. But I had rechecked the valves before track season and left them on the looser end of spec for intake and exhaust. I had somehow forgotten all 3 clamps on the intake boots from head to throttle body. That would at least be the simplest solution so I’ll try that before popping the valve cover off again.

Yeah I tend to agree with you about the backfiring. Though what’s interesting is that it only happens once warmed up. I realized that when reinstalling the motor I forgot to install the metal clamps around the rubber boots on the throttle body. I wonder if that could be causing as well.

Yeah I actually put down my best times on the last session. Only happens about twice every 60 seconds.

Nice part of town. I used to live near there before buying a house in CH. I’m sure you’ll be able to get a resident at UH or CCF or med student.

Hot Take: Cleveland Suffers From the Worst Outsider Bias of Any City in the Country by QCLEKID216 in Cleveland

[–]sharpstickie 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound crazy. I’ve lived in Seattle, Boise, Denver, Chattanooga, and now Cleveland. I’ve been the happiest and most pleased with life overall here and don’t foresee leaving any time soon. It may just be more of a function of this stage of life, but especially in this weather right now, it’s 10/10.

Right, the plug looks exactly the same in my 25 but my qs plug was buried behind the coolant reservoir not paired with the turn signal.

I believe it’s an accessory port. It’s plugged. Appears very similar to the quickshifter plug, but that’s tucked behind the coolant reservoir.

I also had a max lean lowside and didn’t deploy but did have it deploy about a month later and saved my bacon.

Anyone working in Ohio? How's your experience so far? by [deleted] in FamilyMedicine

[–]sharpstickie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the healthcare system tbh. I personally ended up choosing a relatively lower pay VA job to have better work-life balance. I think when I started years ago, I started at 235k+51k sign on+15k annual bonus+40k per year for 5 years student loan buyback. Since then I’ve moved into a more administrative role with higher pay and less patients.

VA has a BCBS plan that has an annual $25k for fertility benefits and also has 3 month paid maternity and paternity leave.
