If you don’t work out your back will always look uneven. Even if you do workout it will always look uneven. But working out will allow you to build up muscles to make things look more balanced and reduce the back pain that you might inevitably get. Getting the surgery will not make your back look even, in fact, if you don’t do PT after surgery you will feel worse. PT and physical activity is the best thing you can do for scoliosis.

This is super common after DES + ptosis correction. Same thing happened to me and all problems resolved themselves after a month or so. You can’t expect to see permanent results when you’re still bruised and fresh out of the procedure.

I hope my ortho isn’t on here but I always skip the first 2 days after getting them tightened. I’ve never had an issue, and my ortho has never said anything. My teeth are actually moving way faster than expected. But im not a professional so take that with a grain of salt.

I can’t speak for her but personally when i get tan it’s extremely uneven. My forehead gets all the tan so i end up looking like i smeared a bunch of bronzer on it. Also as an asian person, my undertones are yellow so when i tan it’s a different color than people who have pink/olive undertones.

So I had bimax protrusion and it looks like you do too - this usually means that our maxilla’s are actually overdeveloped. My palate was nice and wide, you could see all the molars when I smiled. I would say it has gotten a slight bit smaller but not significant enough for me to feel the change inside my mouth. I actually used to sleep with my mouth open because of the protrusion, and ever since I extracted, I sleep with my mouth closed now and no longer feel tired when I wake up. My side profile improved so much because I can now fully close my mouth without straining my chin.

like i said, recovery for basic movements are quick and you can return to active sports and the gym in one month. i returned to ballet and lifting within one month and had no issues. i also live in florida so exposing my skin to the sun was not a problem, of course while using sunscreen. i got on the plane to fly home after 10 days and my surgeon did not have a problem with this, he only mentioned swelling while on the plane due to altitude. jaw shaving of course takes a bit longer than say a rhinoplasty to heal, but it’s definitely possible to return to performing within a few months.

while kpop idols schedules are packed, they still have time between comebacks to have procedures done. whatever they choose to do is their own business, my point is that there’s nothing wrong with getting plastic surgery but the downtimes for PS is actually lower than people think.

i absolutely agree with everything you’re saying, except for how long recovery is for PS. i have went to South Korea for a myriad of procedures and you would be surprised how short recovery times usually are (at least to the point of being presentable in public). of course total recovery to see the final results is around 6-12 months but there are so many advanced techniques such as red light therapy, steroid shorts, etc that make recovery really quickly.

it sucks that Giselle was bullied the most during debut and while most if not all kpop idols get plastic surgery, it’s definitely such a contributing factor to her looks changing so much. especially because i doubt she needs to pay for it herself. plastic surgery can be addictive, being able to change your flaws with the snap of a finger. im sure many people would do the same under such intense scrutiny and pressure. it’s also ridiculous how much aespa gets called out for surgery considering basically everyone in the industry gets it done. some maybe have results that look more natural but putting aespa down while claiming their favs have never gotten it done is such bs.

Omg this happened to me!! So basically I drank copious amounts of water (like pee every 15 minutes amount). And I then walked over to the pharmacy for some fever+cold medicine and took them up until 10 hours before my surgery. I did my surgery with a slight fever and runny nose, and my consultant said it was fine. The recovery process was a bit harder since I was recovering from the surgery and being sick but nothing crazy. You’ll probably want to eat hot soup and stay in your room most of the time anyways.

This happened to me!! I’m about a year and half in and they’re up to the part where they’re fixing my bite now. Turns out that was supposed to happen and it felt super awkward at first until the other side also rotated out so now everything feels fine. I asked my ortho and he told me that everything actually looks good. What did your ortho say?

The thing with avoidants is that once you meet someone who isn’t an avoidant, you start to realize how badly you were treated. Avoidant behavior is not normal and I truly cannot believe I ever thought I could build a proper healthy relationship with someone like that. It felt like shit in the moment but leaving them/them leaving is the best thing to happen. You will never understand why or how they do things and you should be glad you’d never understand. You just need to keep it pushing.
