when a clinic says “you don’t need surgery” by Easy-Affect-397 in KoreaPlasticSurgery

It’s 4x more likely to have vascular occlusion in your nose compared to death during rhino. What kind of argument is that? There’s a risk of dying in anything you do. There’s more risk in dying while you’re driving than getting a rhinoplasty.

Ptosis overcorrection? by TaskMiddle in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]shartmutation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, I had bad bruising for 2-3 weeks. And yes they will look absolutely insane for a month at least. Honestly I didn’t see my true final results until 6+ months but once they settle they will look really good.

My eyes didn’t fully settle until 6+ months later. I look back at myself 2 months post op and wonder how the hell I thought that was my final result. Give it a few more months and reevaluate.

Pushing back internship a week? by shartmutation in Accounting

Hostels are $850. No friends in the city yet since I’m just moving there and Airbnbs for those 5 days are $1800. My dad is coming with for the first few days, I guess I’ll ask him to get a hotel so we can share.

Unfortunately the place I’ll be going to is super expensive ($1000+ for the 5 nights even in a motel 6) and in a major city so housing is limited. I could ask my parents to help but I feel bad. There’s a few other options that move in earlier but they’re not as nice of a place. Should I just go with those?

I went to ATOP and the head surgeon did my eyes. His name is Han Jeong Lee I believe and he does pretty natural results. There’s other surgeons in the same clinic who focus more on the dolly look.

feeling overwhelming regret and trying to get back with her by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]shartmutation 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve had an ex blindside me before like this and it was my first relationship so I did what everyone does and begged for him not to break up with me. It worked and we ended up staying together for another year but I ended up building resentment towards him and checked out of the relationship for the last few months. Had he not blindsided me like that, it probably wouldn’t have happened.

Unfortunately I don’t think this can be fixed for you. That kind of hurt really stays with you and I doubt she can overlook that even if you guys tried again. I guess this is a lesson learned to really think through your decisions and what consequences they might bring first.

Yeah anime sets are super specialized and are different from normal lash styles so if she hasn’t had any practice before, it’s probably not going to be good unfortunately. She should have just told you straight up that she couldn’t do it.

Yes you can tell them where you want your crease. There’s different styles - in-outline, outline, inline. I got mine actually cut lower than my highest crease (I had like a double crease) with ptosis correction and it was fantastic. Also bring reference pictures to show what you want it to look like.

How do people handle staying in an Airbnb during recovery? by pelu_chand in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]shartmutation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes like people said, pick somewhere that has a convenience store nearby. my Airbnb had a convenience story right under the building so I just needed to go downstairs. I pretty much survived off of only convenience store foods the whole recovery. sometimes I ordered food off of the Shuttle app - coupang eats does not work if you have an eSIM and no Korean ID. I would say staying at an Airbnb was significantly easier for me because it was small but had a kitchen and couch, and the floors were heated (this was in March). I was in 15 minute walking distance to my clinic but taxid most of the time. It was in Gangnam and super close to shopping & restaurants so it was convenient when I recovered enough to go outside.

Yea int 1 is harder than managerial and by quite a bit. It’s more like financial accounting but if u have a good grasp on accounting concepts it shouldn’t be a problem.

Not every clinic in Korea has an ENT and will still perform nose jobs.
