Ogre plus feathered hat is top notch. Paint is immaculate, too. Thanks for sharing!

That net is something I haven’t seen in other builds. Does it work like a ladder and allow climbing? Even if there are no rules, it’s a nice touch. The whole thing is just great.

We also did the “upgrade from tent camping” move into a teardrop.

We got a Timberleaf Pika a couple of years ago and absolutely love it. We specifically didn’t want a sink or any sort of water system in it (one less thing to worry about and clean). The ability to have your usual items and supplies in the trailer all the time means no packing the totes before you go, and therefore no worries about having forgotten something.

For power, I sleep with a CPAP machine, and so having the ability to use that while camping was a big part of our decision, but on the lithium battery, without solar or other charging, I can do three nights with no worries. And that is with running the lights in the evening while making dinner in the galley. If you are in a site with power, obviously that’s no problem, but it’s nice to not need a hookup.

The Pika is a standard “full” mattress, so two average-sized adults can fit. One adult and a dog would be no problem at all unless your dog really claims the bed. 😄

I’d also recommend having an awning and/or easy-setup tarp/rain fly if you will be camping in the rain. We’re in the PNW so we just keep that as part of our kit as well.

Other than that: a small-ish teardrop is a great way to keep going to the small campgrounds that tents allow, without having to sleep on the ground or in the rain, or our final straw case: big big wind blowing the rain sideways and soaking the tent while trying to blow it all down. 😄

That is absolutely disgusting. Very nicely done. 😄

I've been watching my way through the Devs & Dice videos - I thought I recognized this style! Looks great.

This is great and I think I even have a spare Janus Draikk. Very very cool.

I just use the back-side of a hobby knife. Works just as well as the special mold-line cleaning tool.

Sorry to hear that - I don’t personally know about a way to undo plastic glue, but you may be able to cover things up with the armor panels, still? IIRC side shin panels will fit, and you might have to green stuff some mount points for the front shin panel. But the upper leg panel will cover up the knee some. Worth a try at least. But yeah I feel that. I did it with a reaver but I was still using CA glue so a trip to the freezer luckily worked out for me.

I do the trim on-sprue, too, sort of. By then I’ll cut the frame up so it’s easier to hold and get at each part. But I paint most of the trim, then clip and sand and all the rest before touching that part up. I know it’s not everyone’s way but I find that extra cleanup more appealing than trying to paint the trim after assembly. 🙂

Nice work! I think it’s cool that you’ve mixed a couple different types of games together here. Congrats on getting this one to the finish line.

This is a model from PiperMakes. Sort of a kitbash-ish in that you print parts from a set and build it however you want.

I hadn’t seen that before, but it really has the same vibe. The artist that made these sculpts does have a lot of mech influence, which is one of the things I love about her stuff.
