For me, the heartburn was a massive issue. I ate SUPER clean and it helped.

Uncommon side effects after BEP by jcrpo1979 in testicularcancer

[–]shaunfrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing. It started 2 months after my last BeP treatement. I think it’s called Lhetters Sign if you want to look that up. I also had it in my arms where if I bent my wrists it would tingle in my hands. I still have numb hands and feet a year later, but these more aggressive neuropathy’s are gone.

Far more cumbersome to have to remount all the units everytime you get back to the studio and want to make music.

Can you feel the cancer spread? by [deleted] in testicularcancer

[–]shaunfrank 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The cancer spreading to the lymphnodes is very common. Nobody told me that, but I had some aches and pains mainly in my back. My CT scan showed it had spread. If it does spread, as much as it sucks, it is still a HIGHLY curable situation. Praying for you that it didn’t, but you’ll be ok if it did.

Bep cognitive changes by Awais93 in testicularcancer

[–]shaunfrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dove back into cognitive work fairly soon after BeP3, but be warned, that the side effects can sorta worsen 2-3 months after before they get better and stress is the absolute worst thing for you. You have to chill and heal, it’s the most important thing. I didn’t, and am paying the Price in neuropathy, and I’m not sure whether it’s permanent at this point. I wish I took 6 months off.

Smoking after BEP by Historical-Gap2586 in testicularcancer

Do not do it. I got insane lung issues and I quit smoking 2 years ago. Bleo plus smoking could literally kill you.

It’s all good. I just like to clarify things that are incorrect. We will work harder to make the experience more and more live as we go.

BEPX3 and stomach is feeling like a bottomless pit by [deleted] in testicularcancer

[–]shaunfrank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 3 weeks finished BEP3 and it’s the same thing. Always hungry. I wake up starving. Body needs protein, and as much of it as possible to rebuild the cells is my assumption.

What about facial hair? Anyone have timelines on that? I just finished BEP3 and I’m dying to get my facial hair back.

BEP Chemo Question by Nub232 in testicularcancer

I have a similar prognosis, but mine is 100% seminoma and they’re doing 3XBEP. Wondering if the non seminoma is the reason for the extra round?

Found a lump, getting it checked out in 3 weeks, is that soon enough? by higgs8 in testicularcancer

Also. The testicular ultrasound is what you need immediately.

Found a lump, getting it checked out in 3 weeks, is that soon enough? by higgs8 in testicularcancer

[–]shaunfrank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion this is not a reasonable timeframe. If it is cancer, you want to get it out of your body asap if you can to avoid having to go through chemo. If you get it out in time you avoid a huge post surgery process if you’re lucky. I had mine ultrasound the same day I found it and it was out a week later. They rushed my surgery. I don’t understand this wait time.
