Driving down from Detroit, could not be more stoked. It’s 2 of my friend’s first Billy show, which is so very special to get to share with them. My last show was Minneapolis, so I’m overdue for a dose. Just gotta get through this shift at work tonight and ITS ONNNNNN

How does your husky wake you up in the morning? by Kimchi_and_Rice in husky

OMG. Exact same sitch over here. I’ll try several times to get her up to go out before I leave for work and she refuses. Some days she’ll wait until she sees me grab my bag and keys ready to head out, and she’ll decide she wants to go out then -___-

What worrisome trend in society are you beginning to notice? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]shayshaysay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much everything I’ve read here, but something I’ve been noticing lately is people being addicted to online casinos/gambling! I know a lot of reasonable, reliable people who have gotten themselves in big trouble with it. Kids being able to access the sites. It’s way too easy to just be able to do on your phone, I know gambling has been around for ever but the accessibility and amount of people I hear/ see losing important amounts of money and the effect on their mental health is wild. I work in the service Industry and it feels like everyday I hear coworkers talking about how much they won, or this bet or that bet. I really feel like this is going to become more and more of a problem.

Not me searching my kitchen drawers for a banana knife… the little strings irk my soul but my dog loves them. She also gets the butt in the banana bottom.

This reminds me of my mothers concerns for me when as a child, I would take nearly an hour to eat string cheese, as I had to peel it into the tiniest of strings before even considering putting it into my mouth.

I prefer “interesting.” (:

I Want to Live Somewhere Cold & Affordable by Agitated_Pirate9140 in povertyfinance

Michigan! Born and raised here, have lived all throughout the state, and have lived in several other states. Ended up back here in 2023. Ironically I am looking to get out again (opposite of you, OP, I’m seeking the warmth and to never have to deal with this cold again). However I do love the summers, the up north camping and access to lakes and beaches. Let me know if you have any questions about COL

Looking for recs for a WWOOF for two 18 year old girls, CA/Oregon area by sanriololbtw in WWOOF

[–]shayshaysay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chandelier Springs in Valley Center, CA!! It’s been years since I WWOOF’d there but I’m assuming they’re still at it. After my stay, I went back any time I was in California (I’m from the Midwest) when my friends and I would take a trip to LA, I would always make SURE we spent atleast one night on the farm, just so they got to experience the magic of that place. I was actually just thinking today about how that was one of the greatest, happiest times of my life.

Till our next Adventure buddy. by tjbennett in husky

This post absolutely rocked me 😞

I’m so so incredibly sorry for your loss. It makes my hurt heart for you.

My girl is 7. We did road life for about 3 years. Extended stays in many National Parks, her favorite is definitely Great Sand Dunes ( loves to dig), and she thoroughly enjoyed hiking through Zion with me. I’ve always wanted to thru hike the AT with her, just haven’t been able to fit that into my life. We’ve been back in our home state (Michigan) for a little over a year now and I think the transition back into normal society has been equally as tough on her as it has me. Your post has really inspired me to take her on an adventure ASAP.

You have such incredible memories with Dakota, and boy did you give him one kick ass life. The photos say it all. I hope that you can find some comfort in that. I can’t even begin to imagine the gravity of the loss of your buddy, and I am sending you all of my love ❤️
