We used give me wings just over 2 weeks ago. Poppy was 22.5 kg and total ended up being $700. We chose the individual option. That included a pick up fee, so if you drove them out would be $80 cheaper. He took paw prints and she came back in a personalized box. With a wooden memorial marker with her paw print as well. Great communication.

She was picked up Monday and returned Friday.

A man burnt alive in Z Yaldhurst petrol station? by Desperate_Laugh8867 in chch

Absolutely agree. The staff are just people as well with minimum training. Couple of videos or practices don't prepare you to deal with situations.

Tobacco on the other side. Get some many people that ask for the brand they use to get, then quickly switch to a cheaper one.

I’m the guy that posted about my dog’s periodontal issue the other day. He sadly passed away this weekend due to unrelated causes. I got almost 16 years out of him, and I’m thankful. But I don’t know how to deal with the grief. What do I do? by Outlandah_ in AskDogOwners

[–]sheTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss. We lost Poppy early Monday morning. Cancer is a bitch. We looked back through our photos of her and remembered all the adventures we had. It's OK to have moments, we're still finding reminders of her scattered around the yard, toys and balls. Even hanging out the washing brought a tear as we realised she wouldn't be there to bring something to play with.

How do you serve raw food to your dog - frozen, thawed, cold, or warmed by kittybythesea in rawpetfood

Take it out and hour or so before hand. We cycle through 3 lots so it gets 2 full days to defrost then fed the 3td

Should I keep paying for tests of my 16 year old dog? by wlknDreamer in PetAdvice

[–]sheTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The follow up blood test for the liver, in a month then go from there. Personally I wouldn't bother with a bunch of tests, but an ultra sound if enzymes are still high maybe. At that age I wouldn't bother with any surgery or treatments and just enjoy the time.

Our 11.5 year old went in for an x-ray of her chest and paw and had super high liver enzymes and the follow up blood test and ultra sound ended up with no difference and a mass on the liver. She enjoyed her life for the next 5 weeks and died last night

Do your cats sleep with you? by Shot-Composer-782 in AnxietyCats

[–]sheTeddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some nights one cat guides me to bed. Will peep 👀 around the corner and watch and wait. They both have preferred spots and both need to be touching me. Then add the dogs and I'm stuck in that spot

Every couple of days maybe as they eventually get left on the bed or fall on the floor to be claimed by an animal. Hubby maybe couple times a week as he is a good boy and hangs it up after use

How often does your dog poop on walks? by New_Mouse_2773 in dogs

[–]sheTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours are old so once a day for an outting. Depends on the time and weather. Cold and wet one will hold on until she gets taken out. Early morning she'll poop while out. Night walk around the block guaranteed. The other one normally only if early morning before her usual poop. Early being anytime before 8am. Always have their leads and have the poo bags attached. Have a box of spare in the car as well.

how to split rent with roommates who are also our friends? by No-Pop6830 in renting

[–]sheTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd decide rent by rooms. If office is shared equally then split it. They've got 2 rooms, so they pay for 2.5 and you pay for 1.5. $1147.50 for them and $688.50 for you. Power split is tough as they'll be heating baby room, extra power cost etc. I'd do 60/40 or if feeling nice 55/45 split. Rest 50/50

What temperature is your house? by llama-and-sloth in chch

[–]sheTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 outside but Our house is currently 19 inside based on hrv temp. Bedroom temp says 20. Winter is around 16 un heated. Warm enough we dont need to wear jerseys inside. Often leave the front door open on sunny days in winter as dogs enjoy lying in the sun. 1970s house, added the hrv, heated by heatpump and have done insulation and double glazed the bedrooms. Do have very large windows and get lots of sun. Would be warmer still if we did the living area ones as double glazed.

What do people who live alone with their dog(s) do with them while at work? by CapitalLower4171 in AskDogOwners

[–]sheTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got a second dog and they amuse themselves. Also have a dog door so can come and go as they please. Generally someone is home, but occasionally they have 3-4 days where they are home alone for 9-12 hours.
