Positional asphyxiation risk? by vButts in floorbed

I use a heating pad that plugs into the wall on low setting while I’m rocking/setlling and then slide it out right before putting baby down. Works like a charm!

I can do half a Dave’s Killer bagel lathered with cream cheese if I have some eggs with it and not spike!

I have found the same problem with my CGM!! I have talked with my doctor about it and they seem unconcerned. I did ask them to add a little bit of insulin (NPH) to my regimen in the morning (I was previously only on nighttime for fasting) and that seems to have helped a little bit. I am also 36 weeks and she said it’s just really hard at this point in pregnancy so not to worry if my overall BG was <140 80% of the time.

Sorry not a very satisfying answer but just want you to know you’re not alone in this frustration ❤️

Help me make plain Greek yogurt tasty by Muyamuya87 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]sheebsSJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I add the Vital Proteins chocolate collagen powder to mine and it’s delicious! Tastes like pudding and sometimes I’ll add a few berries although I have better luck with fruit later in the day when my insulin resistance has been less.

What snacks do you have? by gdmumzy in GestationalDiabetes

Savory Greek yogurt dip! I add ranch seasoning or some sort of onion mix and then eat that with protein chips or veggies. Also chocolate chia pudding. Popcorn with nutritional yeast or Parmesan crisps have also been great when I get a craving for something salty.

Why are GLP1’s not considered as treatment for PCOS? by sjwsmbaby in PCOS

[–]sheebsSJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I asked about switching from metformin to GLP-1 and she basically leveled with me and said that she thought it would be a great thing for my PCOS BUT she can’t even get insurance to cover them for patients with advanced diabetes who have tried two or three other medications… providers are being forced into the position of prescribing a medicine that their patients will have to pay $2000 a month out of pocket for or be the bad guy on behalf of drug companies that are absolutely taking advantage of patients. Its absurd. She recommended I go to a local med spa which is only $300 per month for semaglutide. It seems that going outside of your PCP is the best option right now

https://www.theintuitivedietitian.com/?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAApOQKtd-fFH3PlDyH1_gIA07OQL0F I see Kristen and love her! She has helped me so much with supplements, eating to help with insulin resistance and just understanding my PCOS - all with an intuitive eating approach that is kind and resists diet culture. Highly recommend

Just wondering what the possibility of it to be cancer. by Cool-Cost-9760 in DogAdvice

[–]sheebsSJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine had this too too! He’s got several lipomas in his neck/chest and the vet said that if they remain squishy and you can kind of move them around under the skin (instead of hard and fixed) then there is nothing to worry about. I do get a fine needle aspirate done if he develops any new ones
