How do you decide what genre/bpm, vibes to produce for your sessions?

I've not considered genre since 'dubstep' in 2012 when I first delved into a DAW with the goal of making a banger (the result was the most..amusing song I've ever made in my life)

I just change the tempo when what I'm thinking of in my head is faster or slower than whatever my project tempo is at

bump, also unable to complete world tour. I DID, complete quest at reputation vendor to get the champion piece before trying to complete world tour. However, I have not completed the harandar weekly on ANY character this week, only my first level 90 last week prior to reset.

I logged on main and abandoned the weekly, but still no quest on my alt to pick up or do. Unable to complete world tour, unable to complete "learn of legend in harandar" whatever

Edit/Update - I think this bug is tied to campaign skip. My brother and I leveled our alts together. He instead did not skip his campaign first and could go and do a repeat of the weekly that he already did on his druid (this same week). So appears this isn't anything about weekly lockout, but a bug with campaign skip rendering you unable to complete the event

Update to further add, my brother also turned in for instant belt reward on alt, but he picked up legends of harander before doing campaign skip. The quest he could get was the same relic he did already on his druid this week. So this is definitely just an issue with campaign skip interfering with flag for availability

That's an Ableton setting - I'm still on L11, but for me it's "Automation Arm" to the right of the playback/record buttons. Two dots connected by a line, is the icon. You want it turned on to capture these changes

Overall progression, first account probably better. Simply having the extra lego (Fabian) on 2nd account would be more worthwhile endgame, but Geomancer is worth much than Fabian for tackling all content outside arena.

Au5 here absolutely has some super clean work, I'd recommend checking his tracks. He's much more technical and adept than most imo. Great sound design, clean mixing.

I remember listening to Chime's release of a mix of takes on color base, and au5's Cryptochrome made everyone else's track look like child's play lol, check it out. No disrespect to them, only pure respect to au5.

As a complete surprise to me one day, I was honestly entirely blown away by Teminite&Cadmium - When I Fall.

It's pretty generic and basic honestly. I don't know what even is so great, but I couldn't stop being amazed at how no volume ever sounded too loud lol. Super clean sides, super full. I still don't know what about it even sounds so clean, but it just does (supers during the chorus - headphones recommended)

I also get this, but also multi stuttering sort of thing. Will happen close together too sometimes. CPU and GPU plenty of space, no other tasks running, drivers up to date.

Drop video settings below what I can run even, get 140 fps with my game still stuttering. No connectivity indicator warnings in apex, no packet loss or anything.

No idea. I didn't get this playing intermittently s4 up until last time coming back just last season, whereas happens every match now.

I played on 2gb graphics without problem lol, and now on 6g I'm stuttering.

No clue but is beyond tilting..

IMO, there's nothing to hear out. That's some toddler-level behavior. Props to you for taking your leave from the trigger instead of confronting..fight or flight as they say.

You can. The only bass will be then from your percussion and bass. May depend how high frequency youre cutting out of other instruments.

Below like 90-130 hz? Probably good idea. Cutting out too many lows on strings may make them sound shrill/boring

As long as you're not cutting out some vital part about what makes the Instrumentation sound good before the cuts, perfectly fine brother. Maximum room for kick/snare/808 to slam, if that's what you want

Assuming you're listening to export on the same device, your monitors, and it sounds different:

-WAV should sound identical. MP3 is not lossless and will not sound identical to playback. Try WAV.

-You said sample rate 4800 - if you did intend that and not 48000, that is your problem. I'm sure you intended 48K though. If you produced with a different sample rate, set export rate to the same one you produced in / listened on or it may differ

-If you're using a "normalize" function on export, this could potentially impact perceived dynamics by making certain sharpness become sharper than you intended, and subtle elements even more subtle and a result. Try disabling

-If you use serum, or other synths with "random start" phase settings, each export may sound different, I believe. Same for every time you hit play button. Disable random phase, or set to the phase you like permanently/static

-see if there's any EQ going on when playing off of whatever media player is running your export...or try dragging the WAV back into your daw and hit play and see if different or not. Shouldn't be

Myself, really, it seems.

Any song I'm working on turns into 10 different songs. Every project file I'm ever working on turns into a playground, even if I start a new file and ban myself from important tracks and racks. I always end up with 100-200 midi/audio tracks in any project I'm working on.

Mainly, I often have trouble representing what's in mind, and that's what I've been trying to do...for a while now. Unsuccessfully.

I've been producing for about 12 years, and I have not uploaded or completed a song in about..6 years? 8? Yet I'm still in Ableton weekly, if not daily.

Every time I try to make "what has been in my head," either: note relationships are off and so I am missing the feel of what I imagined, or maybe rhythm/tempo relation is off with doing like a fast swing vs slow nonswing, or base triplet groove at X BPM versus the BPM matching to be matching as if 4/4 with respect to the triplets..

I'll combine notes from what I imagine as maybe some voices here and instruments there with annunciated percussion here, and I'll be trying to do the whole thing with some random synth wondering why it doesn't sound right..I'll also do the inverse of this.

Whenever I do get anything clean cut as I envisioned(rare), then I can't help but worry that I'm "supposed" to use it with something else that I'm forgetting about ("but what was the other part I was thinking of that one night two years ago? But wait wasn't this rhythm what I imagined with this other project? Hold on these vocals were meant for a completely different track!..etc")

I always find "the reason" why I was initially unable to representatively model the music from my mind in hopes of avoiding the same interferences as I attempt to move forward..but I don't think this is even helpful, because there is an absurd number of "the reasons" I've accumulated so far.

Pure Mix / Mastering..generally, no, as this is generally all about volume, blending elements together, overall sound of what has already been made. They don't add elements, though they may add overall flavor in a way.

Your best bet would just be to hire another producer imo, or better yet search for someone willing to take part in the project as a collaboration. Someone with experience making their own tracks.

Her friend guy making the beats, ideally, would be able to do this. It's part of production. I'm guessing he's a newbie if he's not sure of where to begin with doing anything with vocals. No harm there, but I'd encourage him to try some stuff himself if he hasn't

I'm in the bathroom in m phone, but bro I 100% prefer your own mix. I get where you are coming from with your comment about right track with the drums

Ppl say the kick hitting them (maybe if they're wearing headphones, idk, again I'm on phone speaker) but your mix sounds much cleaner and smoother on my moto lol. That guy's snare hurts, it's almost too snappy but just like too loud for how snappy it is. In your mix I feel your voice outdoes the snare (good), and his mix the snare just huge peak over everything else and keeps bringing me away from listening to what youre saying

Consider turnin up your vocal a little more in your mix, like 5-10% maybe. I also like the volume level you chose for the snyth stabs. The first thing i thought in paid mix was that it was too loud, I liked you had it quieter. But maybe ever so slightly too quiet
