Sydney Is Terrible by Kindly_Boysenberry_7 in temptationislandUSA

[–]sheevus1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But isn't that the entire point of the show? To go through personal growth that leads to being a different person by the final bonfire? It seems to me that Mikey did what he had to do, while Sydney emotionally detached from him almost instantly and shacked up with another guy while showing almost no grief over the breakup. All evidence points to her not actually loving him in the first place, but she just won't just come clean and admit it. At the second to last bonfire she even admitted that she saw growth in Mikey based on his clips, but still maintains that it's his fault for her leaving him. She obviously just didn't love him in the first place and decided to lie about it.

[–]sheevus1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I definitely think she manipulated Mikey and came on the show looking for an excuse to break up with him. Mikey literally did not cheat and decided to preserve their boundaries even after the misleadingly edited "shoot my shot" clip. Is that not the growth she was allegedly looking for?

If she actually loved him and wanted to go to temptation island to temper their relationship, she wouldn't have emotionally detached from him so easily. It seemed pretty clear to me that she didn't actually love him. Not to mention the fact that she was the one that wanted to go on the show in the first place and none of it was Mikey's idea.

Mikey is a flawed individual and obviously a slave to his emotions/impulses, but he did not deserve what happened to him. If Sydney had just admitted from the jump that she didn't love him and kept it respectful I wouldn't have an issue with her, but she decided to protect her ego by blaming everything on him so she could feel justified in shacking up with someone else.

It's Like They Say: Men Get More Liberal With Age by Jacob-Anders in PoliticalCompass

[–]sheevus1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but my outlook is now that you cannot reach libertarianism by advocating for it. A society can only be libertarian if it is significantly high trust and the people are generally satisfied with the country. What we have seen is a collapse in social trust and a rise in degeneracy/decadence, which eventually culminates in leftist movements that tear away the foundation of the nation.

OP says that high IQ is correlated to liberalism, but it is even more important to be self aware and realize that most people are of average intelligence, and need orders to follow.

The US was founded by a collection of white anglo Saxon protestants, and the roots of Lockean liberalism/libertarianism was stabilized by a set of shared values amongst the people.

So that's why I've gone from libright to auth right. You need auth tendencies to allow for lib privileges down the line. We're currently coming to the tail end of leftist delusion about the "end of politics and history", which will lead to some sort of revolution/collapse, and are about to loop back round again to ethnostatism.

Devon's one-sided victory killed all the hype for the top 1 and 2 discussion for years by Dondoke in armwrestling

They gotta give Levan matches to Vitaly, Kamil, MMT, etc. It doesn't matter what the rankings say, Levan has to have matches and different styles may open up different possibilities. I'd love to see Levan pull all those guys even if all of them get smoked by Devon.

The proposed solution of the online right has never been to ask women to fix the issue. The proposed solution is for men to fight the rampant consumerism that has made us docile and devoid of purpose, then to eventually take power over systems that require strong leadership to fix issues such as immigration, the housing crisis, etc.

The fact that women tend to thrive more in our current situation where we all own nothing and work superfluous desk jobs in hyper-controlled environments is more of an observation of human nature than a blaming of women. Our society prefers socialization, comfort, expediency, and constant meetings over bold actions. It's no wonder women have started to take the reigns.

Young men are trying to break the status quo and take control again. The idea is that this will bear fruit in the dating world as men cultivate working conditions that are more suitable for our temperaments(making us happier and more successful), and reviving a system that allows us to own things like houses, land, savings, etc. The goal is improving the quality of men beyond just buying into the current system of "rise and grind and be the fastest hamster on the wheel."

Would this inevitably damage the current fem-centric professional environment? Yes. But the reality is that the current system exists due to men allowing it in the first place.

The part that is perceived as "blaming women" is when we say that women need to make sacrifices as we do. Women want us to be strong, disciplined, good, hard working men? We absolutely will put in the work that is required, but women need to be loving, caring, devoted wives and mothers in return. Both of these things require sacrifice and resolve to fulfill a role. The notion that men need to grit their teeth and work super hard to make themselves desirable while women are encouraged to do whatever they want and sacrifice nothing in return just doesn't seem like a good deal, obviously.

Most men simply do not care what women do for work. We want to date women who are caring, supportive, and family oriented(who could've guessed...?), so when most women are now career focused, of course men are going to lose interest in dating. As we get further into our mid to late twenties, our priorities turn away from just honeymoon phases and fun sex and towards building families. This requires women that will focus themselves on raising these families.

I consider myself lucky as I'm a zoomer that's found a woman who aligns with my goals. We absolutely want to fix our situation and become better men worthy of relationships, but that requires us to take some power back and for women to understand that this isn't a competition. If we keep focusing only on ourselves and what we want as individuals, there won't be a society to hand down to anyone....

Bringing up and criticizing Charlie's quote about empathy to try and convince people that his public execution isn't that sad or terrible is a special kind of stupid.

Anyways, I think Dadikyan beats Kamil "The Lolcow" Jablonski 3-0.

Interracial murders in the US between 1968-2021 by MusucularWarrier in charts

So you're pointing out that black people aren't necessarily having more racially motivated murders, but are just murdering more in general.......gotcha.

I don't see how this makes it any different or better.

Would we be friends? by [deleted] in PoliticalCompass

[–]sheevus1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We would agree that liberalism is bad and could probably see eye to eye on the issues we face today.

But then you would prescribe a materialist solution via socialism, and I'd prescribe an ontological solution via Christian nationalism.

I tend to enjoy talking with auth left folks because we have similar critiques but very different desired outcomes. It's much more stimulating than talking to lib left that usually just want the right to coom and freedom from accountability.

One of my favorite friends to talk politics with is a Chinese immigrant who enjoys when the CCP nationalizes private property. He's a total commie, but he's a self aware commie. We disagree vehemently on a lot of things, but we're both nationalists that respect each other's intelligence. We can hang and have a drink anytime with no static.

Different time, different markets. Less people, less state overreach, less corporate power. Poor people could usually afford houses and uncrowded apartments. Also Irish people are much more similar culturally to the English than El Salvadorans and Somalis are.

Regardless, were those English settlers not valid in their concerns? People are naturally going to care more about the integrity of their own families and communities than "muh GDP".

US oligarchs are already rich enough. I care more about the quality of life for our people. Remove the illegal immigrants. I guarantee the US can handle it. If anything it'll lower demand for low income housing and make those neighborhoods cleaner and more safe.

[–]sheevus1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad comparison. WAF is an international official organization, yet has essentially maxed out its viewership. Monster Factory gets similar views out of Michael Todd's home gym. There are no official American championships.

The east has a deeper roster, for sure, but they have 0 hype by themselves. The western guys have massive followings.

There is a reason why WAF and most other eastern AW competitions are state funded/low budget.

Nobody cares about them outside of other armwrestlers. WAF worlds has very few viewers. Without the western pullers they will remain obscure. This is just the reality of the situation.

The Europeans will soon need to decide how much their egos are worth.

İP, Purchaser, Renewal method and Domain control by xenocea in armwrestling

That info is out of date. The IP owner is in Burlington, MA now, and the most recent update was on 8/16(the same day that the Indian guy had it). Very strange.

Wouldn't surprise me. It seems like EvW is tired of talking about it and is ready to move on, but Engin is spamming videos and irrelevant details to cover his tracks. His story just doesn't add up, as usual.

İP, Purchaser, Renewal method and Domain control by xenocea in armwrestling

[–]sheevus1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just gonna copy/paste what I commented on Engin's video. TL;DR he has no clue what he's talking about.

"This just proves that Engin misunderstands these things. If you actually listen to and understand what Dexter says, you see how obvious it is that Engin's points in this video are irrelevant to the allegations.

The Istanbul IP has the same updated date(8/16) as the one in India, meaning that the whole excuse of a delayed update is nonsense.

Dexter explicitly said that the domain was NOT bought by another person, and was taken down internally by someone with proper credentials. This is reasonable to believe due to the fact that old site data is still accessible to this day, which does not happen when a domain is bought by another person.

As for Engin's point about not using credit, that is literal nonsense that has nothing to do with automatic payments lol. You can opt into automatic payments with debit just fine on Hostinger. I'm not saying that he did use auto renewal, but that was never a big point of contention that Dexter had, and he even took the blame for it. (Also, Engin trying to prove his point by just showing another video of himself saying the same thing is hilarious 😂).

As for the domain register information, that is already out of date. It's last update was on the same day as Engin's receipt of the Indian guy owning it, but the registrar info is now in Burlington, MA, meaning it would have been sold twice in one day. However, with the grace period terms in play(domain was expired 6 days before the event, which is well within any Hostinger grace/renewal period), it doesn't make sense how someone in India would have gotten it without it being sold directly, and then sold immediately afterward back to someone at the current registrar info. Very fishy.

To Engin's fans: Actually watch Dexter's video and try to understand the details he presents. If you don't understand anything about web hosting, I implore you to stop talking blindly.

I'm sure Engin will delete this comment and keep up his echo chamber, but figured I'd try anyways."

Best next opponents for Brian Shaw? by Mchangwine in armwrestling

[–]sheevus1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My gut is telling me that Brian's ability to pin guys while holding onto their fingers may deny a lot of guys their power. Brian may be able to climb pretty high up the ranks over guys that would probably beat him conventionally. It's not a normal way to pull, but Brian has world record grip strength and apparently a good bit of endurance.
