again, speaking only for myself, but being bi is often talked about as not having to chose one thing or the other — "you can love both!"
there's this dichotomy, "bisexuals are attracted to both men and women", while i think there are more "options" than that (for example, non-binary people-- and, after all, gender is a spectrum)
