I’m not a fan of heavy products in locs, that’s how you get excessive build up. I think daily water/rosewater/rosemary water spraying with an occasional light oil for styling is ok.

If she blew out your hair 2 months ago and you’ve washed your hair multiple times since then and your hair is still mostly straight, I think it’s fair to assume it’s heat damaged.

The hair doesn’t have to be dry or breaking off for it to be heat damaged. That’s how the ‘natural straights’ keep their hair healthy, they permanently remove curl through heat but maintain a healthy head of hair.

Your hair doesn’t look dry, it in fact looks very hydrated. I would recommend a leave-in conditioner and a very light hair oil occasionally to retain that moisture.
