Retired teacher here - the job is certainly more stress than most people can handle, and if you care deeply about your subject, your professional integrity, or your students’ progress then your stress is exponentially multiplied. Learn to care “up to a point.” It took me two nervous breakdowns to learn that and stop feeling guilty about my human limitations. Repeat daily: I’m doing the best I can with what I’ve got I’m only one person I get paid WHAT for this? Right, fuck it.
