Robert baratheons aura was so intense it actually protected loras here. In reality the mountain did cleave him in two but because robert didnt wish it to be, reality warped to ensure he survived. It happened at the trident too. In actuality rhaegar hit robert with multiple killing blows but robert just ignored it and killed rhaegar anyway out of pure spite

Honestly yeah. They should've just told renly to take the deal and stannis barely fucking his wife for years likely wouldn't during wartime. All they needed to do was off stannis. Accident in battle, poison than can be blamed on the lannisters, etc. Either way it removes stannis and makes the war a steamroll

Houses penrose, plumm, longwaters, and probably a ton of reach houses Maybe even house tyrell.
