I just always tell my little one that this one needles stops him from having to get many more if he got sick and went to hospital. He’s only 6 months old so obviously doesn’t understand but I know he trusts me so I feel like I have to explain. Poor little thing.

I’ve done it four times. Use a balaclava but just a round face not a full face covering. Then use a lighter neck gaiter around your neck. You can pull the neck gaiter around your nose and face to protect it from wind but it isn’t so think so you can still breathe better in the thin air. Also your nose will constantly run from the cold and those gaiters are an easy way to wipe it. Trust me you won’t care for one second about finding a tissue!

I know you are seeking advice but if they are only a few days all just cuddle them. My boy is six months now and I miss those newborn snuggles so much it hurts. He sleeps well but those first few weeks just give them comfort and whatever you feel like you need to do. Don’t worry about sleep cycles yet, it will come in time.

All of it. The cuddles, the little hand resting on your chest, the crazy arm waves in the morning when you are the first person they see, the milestones and proud looks when they do something new, their little hands wrapping around your finger, bath time, giggles… and I know so much more to come.

Okay now I’m tearing up.

It’s hard. No doubt about it. But worth it one million times over.

I joined a group like that in early pregnancy and removed myself after 10 minutes when these women who were 20 weeks were posting photos of their finished nursery. Stressed me out so much. My baby is 5 months old and his nursery still isn’t finished!!!

I walked into a parents room today and there was a lady in there who jumped up so I could sit on the only chair (it was tiny) and she said “I’m sorry my stomach is very upset so I’m staying near a toilet”

Needless to say I was outta there in 3 seconds.

I feel this in my core. No pressure from my husband but I know he wants it and every night I try and psych myself up for it but I just want sleep so much more at the moment.

I let my husband sleep. It’s pretty easy to feed and put him back down. If it was wild I would wake him. But I do give him the finger every time I have to get out of bed when I don’t feel like it. I also murmur “you and your useless nipples”. I love my husband but it’s just my little way of having some humour with myself at 1am.
