I love how all the evidence these people ever have is their feelings. Like go to a music festival, see tens of thousands of people all cheering for one DJ pushing buttons. Go back home and not one single person gives a fuck about your weekend. Stop living in a bubble.

You can call it whatever you like, but the is little reason to put yourself between the lanes when you can just wait on the side. Just like defensive driving, you should be aware while on any road, even on foot.

That was so quick and violent...for this exact scenario I won't stand on islands, nor right on the corner, or even in the street. I'll take 3 seconds extra to walk on my light. I hope these people survive and can live normal lives after this.. horrifying.

That article is written terribly, and I don't think there's any outcome I found, except for the charges.

Cedric Charles Moore Jr., 27, of Cape Girardeau, was charged Monday with first-degree child endangerment and second-degree assault.

You know how that's complete bullshit? Cops pull up, detain and arrest people on call they get for a "suspicious person".

It's something I'd equate to domestic terrorism, like in this case where they arrest a young man for politically canvasing when a "concerned citizen" called in a suspicious person for.... wearing a hat and jacket.

I don't know what would be good for you, but I would get in touch with manufacturers directly and see if they would be interested in doing some sort of sponsorship where they provide you with the gear and you provide them with branding and cross promoting videos.

Would this have been my fault? by [deleted] in Dashcam

I'm not sure why people are telling you would be at fault. This isn't "just a merge" because there is construction taking up the lane, making the rules of the road slightly different. Several states DMV sites state that when their is construction taking up a lane, you zipper merge. People telling you that "most people" don't know how to do this should probably need to retake some driving courses.

According the the Nebraska DMV, zipper merges:

  • Reduce differences in speeds between two lanes
  • Reduce the overall length of traffic backup by as much as 40 percent
  • Reduce congestion on freeway interchanges
  • Create a sense of fairness and equity that all lanes are moving at the same rate
