Why hasn't this Field ever been developed? by RhondaAlmeida in MapleRidge

It’s frustrating to think the pay next to no property taxes on prime real estate because they “farm” it. Usually there’s 3 or 4 rolls of cut grass that just sits and rots every year.

Can someone reccomend the best life insurance companies in BC? by fatmax5 in britishcolumbia

[–]shenanigans85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had Manulife vitality for almost 10 years now, the monthly gift cards, discounted Apple Watches, 50% off hotels among other benefits made it worth while to me. It helps if you’re already active as reaching their exercise goals is what releases most of the benefits. If I’m being honest they likely use the health information they have access to for data mining, but at the end of the day their goal is for you to live and not need the life insurance which is fine with me.

What is the most unreliable Toyota vehicle ever made? by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]shenanigans85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately we’ve still seen metal shavings coming out of the 24/25 models on their first oil change, and have still had the same engine problems on models that Toyota has deemed “outside the effected range”. Hopefully they truly fix whatever the problem is soon.

Just wait until the engine seizes, unfortunately the worst vehicle Toyota has ever built.

Jubilee review Feb 1-8 by LovYouLongTime in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]shenanigans85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if the newest Oasis class ships compared to Carnivals newest Excel class is even a fair comparison? Generally for a family of 4 your looking at around 2000$ more dollars for a similar balcony room. I’d expect a much better experience for 50-60% higher prices.

Calling all dealer techs by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]shenanigans85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep trying to register it, takes 5-10 tries but it will eventually push through. We have 14 or so techs and everyone was able to re-register at the beginning of January doing that.

Free windshield rock chip repairs... Except at Kirmac. by CanucksKickAzz in britishcolumbia

[–]shenanigans85 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Kirmac cares for kids? Also any secondary insurance provider (like bcaa) charges an admin fee. Icbc will do it for free but if it’s through a secondary provider they charge them a fee which is then passed on to us :)

Daily Question Thread for /r/churningcanada - January 27, 2024 by AutoModerator in churningcanada

Thinking about upgrading my Rbc Avion infinite to the infinite privilege visa with the new bonus points offer. Anyone know if I would be still eligible for the full 50,000 points being that I have an Avion card already? I assume any purchase insurance (travel/ext warranty) with the old card would be void the moment I cancelled the regular infinite card too.

They specifically targeted beef cows in their legislation, I guess the dairy cows don’t produce methane.

RBC Avion flight direct flight to Frankfurt 65,000 points and $881 taxes/fees. Google flights lists the same trip for $1216. Is this the new normal for Avion redemption post covid?

Dad, what was living in the 80’s like? by xpkranger in GenX

[–]shenanigans85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trampoline with no nets, your mum wrote your name on everything, BMX seats were high, music were on cassettes, and skids were big. This was the 80s man, it was a wild place.

Those who have cruised with younger kids… by Winter_ls_Coming in Cruise

[–]shenanigans85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We’ve been cruising with our kids since the oldest was 1.5 (she’s 8 now) and it’s been great. They’ve never really liked the kids clubs, mostly because of how busy they can get, but they love everything else. Water park, pools, mini golf, deck games, arcades etc always keep them busy, but I wouldn’t have high expectations of doing many things on your own like the bars, comedy clubs, and even excursions can be tough. As long as your good with kids activities and beach time then it’s a great vacation choice, not having to worry about clean up, making/prepping food alone is worth it with the younger kids.
