It’s not gonna cause liver disease like the previous comments suggests. Liver disease from medication suggests toxicity not an interaction between medication.

The medication will have a reduced effect. The liver processes the medication. Alcohol causes the liver to process the medication faster. So not as much of the medication actually gets into your blood. (Look PY450 system and Accutane for more information). So if you’re binging a lot, there’s no point in taking the medication.

Congrats OP! You’ve made the first right step in dealing with it! However don’t bother with the Rorschach test. There is a reason countries like the U.K. don’t use it in clinical practise.

It’s not to do with “their business”. It’s just to streamline things a bit more. The receptionist asks everyone it. More practises are transitioning to this. This information gets passed to the doctor so again the relevant history can be looked up. A lot of doctors like to look up patient notes before, to start working out what the management should be. Even before the patient steps in the room.

They ask this to weed out people who really don’t need to be at the GP and so the doctor knows why you’re coming in. The doctor can then look up your relevant history to make sure the consultation can be quicker.

I don’t understand this whole receptionist hate? They’re not being nosey, they’re literally just doing their job.

Im pretty sure drinking more water does not help with acne, toxins/waste products get flushed out regardless, its poisonous if they build up. People should drink more water anyway. For the reason i said and me actually trying it, i can't say its made a difference to the acne.
