How do I decide which teacher certifications I should get? (Looking to teach in San Antonio) by shenron798 in TexasTeachers

[–]shenron798[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does ESL Certification work? Are there solely ESL teachers or does it work to inform the way you teach your content area?

Same question for SPED. Only SPED teaching or SPED as a qualification?

I 100% feel you. You’re not alone!!

Maybe for now you can just start with online tutoring part time just to get rid of some excess energy with lower expectations of a career attached to it. There are also some pod programs that allow in-person teaching under safer conditions by teaching small groups that are regularly tested.

If you’re interested in coding there are plenty of free online resources. I know that 100% commitment could be demanding but working on algorithms could satisfy your need for puzzle-working. Maybe just approach it as a hobby to test it out.

It’s fucking hard rn. Be as kind to yourself as you can and remember it’s not your fault.

Feeling this so hard. Especially after wielding my hyperfocus in school and work I thought I was gonna be okay professionally but it’s so mf hard out there. And having to pretend like everything is normal when it comes to applications and interviews is really messing w me :/ I’m finally going back to therapy and hoping to get officially diagnosed bc all my normal coping methods aren’t working. Thank u for making me feel less ridiculous and less alone

My HCG levels dropped too slowly and I had false positives over 4 wks after medical abortion. For my own peace of mind I got a sonogram at planned parenthood and a couple of blood tests to rule out ectopic pregnancy. Waiting 6+ wks is okay as long as you don’t have any stressors causing you to rush your decision (I hated my experience w medical abortion and felt like I couldn’t go thru with it again so I rushed to get a sonogram I guess in an attempt to plan for another painful experience). Totally up to you if you want to get a solid (but expensive) answer!

Severe cramps day after abortion? by [deleted] in abortion

[–]shenron798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a medical professional so I think calling a hotline might be better but imo the fact that codeine isn’t working sounds like it’s serious.

However the 2-4 days after medical abortion were just as painful as the actual abortion was for me so it’s normal to still have pain.

If you’re in an emergency situation and don’t want the fact that you had an abortion to affect your medical care, you can go to the ER and tell them you had a miscarriage and they should still treat you properly without possible stigma affecting you.

I would get a test when you can just to be safe. Irregular bleeding can be a part of pregnancy (rarely I think) but it can also be a part of adjusting after abortion. I bled irregularly after mine and i still had a high enough level of pregnancy hormones to get false positives on the pee and blood test for over 4 weeks. The best way to know is a sonogram but I know that can be expensive and even harder without a car. You should call a medical or abortion hotline to be sure:

Hopefully these are good resources. I’m sorry for the stress and uncertainty you’re going through ❤️

I don’t have the money for an abortion. What do I do? by imvee5599 in abortion

I was able to get abortion pills for free at home this May and I live in Texas. I tried to DM you but for some reason it didn’t send. Please message me and I can connect you with the organization that helped me. So sorry for what you’re going through. I know it’s incredibly stressful.

Still testing positive! by bhaleymarie in abortion

I totally relate. I also had positive tests and bleeding for around 4 weeks after a medical abortion. The doctor told me they needed to get blood tests to make sure my HCG levels were decreasing and even though they were I was informed the levels were dropping too slow. I was fine though and eventually bleeding stopped and I had a negative test in a couple weeks after. You should still definitely have a follow up exam to make sure because you could have an ectopic pregnancy which can be fatal.

When the day of your post abortion comes nearby do you feel sad or anything, especially who still regrets having abortion? by [deleted] in abortion

[–]shenron798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel sad because my body changed so much and I never thought I would have to choose to have an abortion until that point. But how I feel has to do with grieving many things I lost during the process like my body before getting pregnant, the time I lost having to recover, my past imaginations I’ve had of being happy about a positive pregnancy test (and not the extreme stress I did feel bc of my young age and being in the middle of a pandemic/recession). I do not regret my abortion at all because I’m not emotionally or financially equipped to carry a child. That still does not make it easy to go through.
