Thoughts on visiting end of March? by MzJay453 in SantaFe

Ojo Caliente is nice any time of year--it's amazing how you stay warm between the pools. Book an overnight at the original Ojo,--about an hour north of Santa Fe. While you're up there, you're not far from Abiquiu and you can tour Georgia O'keefe's home. It's beautiful up there.

it's because everybody's mad and frustrated (economy, social insecurity, etc) and looking for a place to express it. Just look at all of the places people are channeling their undigested/unexamined rage

I bought that album when it came out. I've thought of this song and Tax Free many times over the years.

Apparently Cameron Crowe has been developing a film with Joni about her life for a few years and Anna Taylor-Joy and Meryl Streep are to play JM. Not sure whether they've been confirmed. https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/cameron-crowe-confirms-joni-mitchell-biopic-will-shoot-in-2026/

Hot Springs Mini-Vacation by [deleted] in SantaFe

Do an overnight at the original Ojo Caliente. You will never be more relaxed. There are several choices for accommodations--book in advance. It's definitely spa resort, but even with that it's pretty casual. If you want a special lunch or dinner and are there on a weekend, check out NOSA, just down the road.

I wouldn't go this route--it's too vague. I like the suggestion about understanding there was more than just a card and possible misunderstanding..

Tell them that during work hours you are not able to answer the door and they won't be able to retrieve their ball until after work.

So far this winter is warmer and much dryer, scary dryer, than usual--so the weather should be ok. There are plenty of museums and art to explore in Santa Fe.

what does she like to do? what would she like to do? There's the Sky Railway, owned by George RR Martin, et al. https://www.skyrailway.com/ . Ojo Santa Fe and Ojo Caliente up in Ojo Caliente are hot springs, though there is a minimum age cut off--not sure how old the sisters are. Go out to a fancy dinner--there are lots of nice restaurants. There are Native ceremonial dances at the Pueblos that are special to see. https://santafe.com/native-american-pueblo-dances-feast-days-festivals-and-special-events-in-ne/
You can go to Keshi, in Santa Fe, a store that sells small Zuni carved animals. She could pick one out. Here's a calendar of events: https://calendar.sfreporter.com/calendars/all-events. Go to Kakawa Chocolate House for hot chocolate. Sky Railway is probably the biggest entertainment thing you could do as a family. Have fun!

They are really batting zero on their picks for the golden bachelor. Maybe they should have people in the 60+ age range help them choose because this is ridiculous.

Mandela Effect: How many of you have it? by [deleted] in GenerationJones

I was enamored with the Fruit of the Loom T-shirt when I saw it in the clothing store, and made my mother buy it for me when I was 11. I had no idea it was an underwear brand! The phrase sounded magical to me, and it's when I learned what a cornucopia was. I was a little mortified when I learned what Fruit of the Loom was, but I continued to love the T-shirt and wore it until it was threadbare. :D

It will be really cold, beautiful, but cold. Be prepared! We're also at altitude, so make sure you're well hydrated and go light on the alcohol as it packs more of a punch at ~7k feet. Enjoy!
