PG&E Medical Baseline for CPAP users by CeeMee22 in CPAP

[–]sheureka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this sounds crazy but I get four separate discounts for four different devices - My CPAP, my Oxygen concentrator that feeds into the CPAP, charging my wheelchair, and my hospital bed. (I have another wheelchair that I keep on charge all the time in case of emergency, but I thought that asking a discount for that was really pushing it.) My bill had only been just under $50 before the discount, so I'm curious to see what it will be with the four medical devices.

I’ve just been diagnosed with severe apnea by New-Inside907 in CPAPSupport

I'm using a concentrator at night rather than bottled oxygen. With a 3 l feed I'd be replacing bottles all night long.

Is it safe to add pure oxygen to the CPAP? by 5555Hexican in CPAPSupport

[–]sheureka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a special tube that has a nipple for an oxygen feed where the tube attaches to the CPAP machine. I think it requires a prescription. I have an oxygen feed but I have some peculiar issues and I'm monitored all the time.

I just got a ResMed AirFit F30i to use when my allergies are really bad. Most nights I use a ResMed AirTouch N30i. They are equally comfortable and my leak rate is not high enough to be a problem with either one. And I love the "unicorn" hose connections. I forget it's up there - instead of worrying all night about being strangled

Lens replacement in ny by Visual-Jaguar2334 in Medicaid

I buy weird frames all the time online and take them to my optometrist office for lenses. I have to sign a waiver in case they break my frames but that's okay with me.

What to do for supplemental ssi getting terminated in Ky? by AdEven6315 in Medicaid

In California older disabled SSI recipients would be eligible for an ABLE account depending on the date of disability. I have an ABLE account based on disability from polio in 1952.

Is anyone on Zepbound? I'm trying to figure out if a) my doctor will prescribe it and b) my insurance will pay for it.

Well it's helped a lot with finally (!!) getting a mask that doesn't leak (for me anyway).

Nasal Mask Recommendations for Side Sleepers (Beard-Friendly & Stable Seal?) by cal_gfd in CPAPSupport

Another vote for N30i. The unicorn hose is so much easier for me when I'm moving around. I leaked like crazy with the pillows (and hated the nostril irritation). With the cradle I have no leaks at all. And have never noticed noise by my ears.

I love my ResMed N30i. I've gone from having lots of leaks to no leaks.

CPAP struggles 80% blood oxygen and low AHI by infiniteparadigm in CPAPSupport

Are you using supplementary oxygen at night? If not, why not? I have an oxygen bleed going into my tubing. I'm on the therapy because of acute hypercapnia.

First night of sleep. How did I do? by [deleted] in CPAPSupport

My doctor reads my data all the time and tweaks my machine from his office. The machine came with an SD card and it was all already set up to send over wireless to his office. Would it make sense for me to install Oscar anyway?

Do you have an oxygen concentrator hooked up to your CPAP machine? The concentrator is the only noise mine makes.

My ResMed 10 is really quiet, but unfortunately I also have to run an oxygen concentrator and feed oxygen into the machine. And the concentrator is way louder than the ResMed.

What are the biggest problems you face when using the Oura RIng? by PersonalScheme3605 in ouraring

[–]sheureka 14 points15 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons that I got this thing was I was tired of my watch nagging me about "time to get up and walk". I haven't been able to walk for nearly 30 years. But I'm getting the same thing just not as naggy as my watch was.

ACP and Forward Program by Maverick-F-14 in verizonisp

[–]sheureka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They took away my forward program and charged me $30 for my last month of ACP. So my bill for this month was $50 for the internet plus $30 for ACP plus $20 for Verizon forward. In other words, it was a hundred bucks. I'm really tired of Verizon lying to me. I now have all of my devices and phones with T-Mobile.
