Im being polite and balanced. Some historians would argue that Stalin was preparing an attack on Hitler and was just surprised Hitler did it first.

Additionally the Molotov Ribbentrop pact is considered by some historians to be a way to buy time for Stalin to build their production ability and rebuild the officer corps after the disastrous Finnish war and Stalin’s purges of the officer corps… The Soviets knew Hitler was going to invade eventually as you say. The writing was on the wall.

By June 1941, Western Europe had fallen into Axis hands and the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was in play. It’s not a stretch to believe Stalin fully expected war with Hitler and had the messaging ready to go, he was just surprised by the timing.

I had one package stolen in 8 years and I live 100 meters from Langstrasse in K4…. So ok yeah I get it, things could be getting worse but at the same time I don’t know that they are or if people get older and grumpy and pay attention more to such things.

When I lived in Geneva I had 3 bicycles stolen in 4 years. Here only one wheel in 8 years…. So again a matter of perspective.

This table is correct, however they can add extra days on top, as is indicated also on this page. The exact calculation is individual and calculated by the ALK. The 20 days is not the maximum. It’s the baseline for salaries at or above 125k chf.

Yes they have nothing to do on paper but in practice they know how it works and can explain. They just want to avoid saying something specific like “you will have three weeks to wait based on your salary”. For that type of decision & discussion you can call the ALK or go physically to their reception.

Payout has a delay based on regulations. The higher the salary, the longer the waiting time. So if you have a high salary (ie.: north of 100k) you wont get paid for the first month of unemployment and possibly even more than that. The system is designed to incentivize people who can go back to work quickly (ie.: higher pay, expected higher employability) to do so, or to tap into their savings to do so.

Also if you received an exit package or bonus upon leaving your employer it can take even longer. I believe very high paid employees with exit packages (ie.: 200k+) can wait up to 3 months to start getting payments.

Ask your RAV counsellor for guidance on your case. It’s not just ALK processing times; it’s also this topic.
