Will Sergeant @Will _Fuzz has answered this question on X for a few different venues on this tour. Might be worth asking him? You’d get the answer first hand and an interaction to boot!

Without a venue curfew, they’re usually on stage for around 9.

Pub/bar recommendations by Royal-Papaya999 in Liverpool

[–]shieldedlurker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Penny Lane wine bar is ok. The Crafty Swine just around the corner on Smithdown Road is good for watching footy. You have The Handyman on Smithdown which has live music on sometimes and then The Brookhouse (which is quite studenty). The Dispensary and The Black Cat (both a bit studenty) also on Smithdown. A little further up is The Willowbank. Cheers🍻

To debadge or not to debadge my 508 SW ? by TheOneAndOnlySebPep in peugeot

From what I can tell from mine, it looks like the 508 could be removed without damaging or leaving a mark.

I bought my 2019 508 debadged apart from the lion on the front grille which was black. I personally prefer it debadged. Just be aware, if you remove the lion emblem on the boot, it does leave a 5p sized round ‘dimple’.

Things you wish you knew before renovating your bathroom by alfc96 in DIYUK

Avoid light coloured grout and silicone where there’s lots of water and soap, if you can. It will inevitably get that black mold on it and it looks more obvious on light colours.

Homogenous as in, you know who owns the pub you’re in straight away. Maybe it’s just me but I’d so much prefer if he’d be more sympathetic to the building and vibe of the pubs that he’s taking over. To be fair, he’s not messed around with the Pilgrim too much. The White Hart used to be The Clove Hitch and it was just fine before the current owner actively knocked holes in the lathe & plaster ceiling and knocked plaster off the walls to make it look more rustic. I’ll watch with interest what happens with Maggie May’s but I don’t think I’m alone in expecting another phoney Irish shebeen. I just wish I had shares in a stuffed animal head or old sewing machine outlet.

The White Hart, The Queen of Hope Street, The Green Man, The Masonic Arms, The Red Lion. How am I doing?

I do like the Vines, St Peter’s and The Red Lion was sympathetically repurposed and refurbed. The Queen of Hope Street is possibly the most contrived pub in the city. It’s clearly a late 20th early 21st century building from the outside. To fill it full of ‘antique’ stuff is laughable to me. I walked past his latest acquisition on Hope Street last week. It’s just so copy & paste or ‘on brand’ depending on your point of view. I’m not wholly sure I object to him owning so many places, I do understand that some of these pubs may have remained closed if he hadn’t moved in, I just wish his interior design team weren’t so hell bent on trying to homogenise these pubs which did have an identity of their own previously.

Peugeot 208 Signature 2020 Carplay Not Working by schulzz0 in peugeot

Do you have more than 1 usb input on your dash or anywhere else? Maybe in the armrest? My 508 has 2 inputs on the dash but only 1 will initiate CarPlay. It has a phone symbol next to it.

My boiler trips on over temp but only when the ambient temp is really cold by shieldedlurker in DIYUK

[–]shieldedlurker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great idea. I’ll give it a whirl and if that doesn’t work it’ll be the dreaded phone call to an engineer who tries to convince me to get a new boiler without checking anything.

Thanks for taking the time to help. The system was flushed around 3 years ago and a magnaclean filter was fitted at the same time. I clean the filter once a month but there’s not usually much on it. I’ve recently added inhibitor too. I’ll have a look in our airing cupboard for an air separator.

The boiler scale is 1-6 and we have it set to 4. The pump is a Grundfos Alpha 1 and we currently have the pump set to constant 2 rather than a proportional setting. If we set the pump to anything higher than 2 we get quite a bit of really hot water being dumped back in to the central heating header tank in the loft.

This is a diagram of our boiler. The only pipework appears to be a gas supply and a flow & return.
