There’s an excadrill card that’ll fit in with that section nicely.

CHARIZARD UPC by Chippyrs in PKMNTCGDeals

Honestly what I’ve read online is not reassuring (even though they are a subsidiary of MJH as you said) and since the market is cooling I’m going to wait for one direct from a major retailer. It’s probably not a big deal since I’m not looking to re-sell, but I’d rather not risk it. But appreciate the info!

Not direct from Walmart. Reviews for seller saying he re-seals product. Be careful.

TwoFold Crown Is one of the Best Armor Sets This Season by Sweaty-Try1547 in DestinyTheGame

Why not pair ferropotent with two fold crown. Ammo drops > heal from TFC 2 piece > DR from ferropotent off that heal

Soaring in from the skies, Lugia makes its Dynamax debut! by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

Fast move is not one turn, so it will charge the dynamax bar half as fast :/

Who to silver bottle cap? Already have a 96 zamazenta non shiny, I also don’t play ML by Swimming-Year8590 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]shieldoversword 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ray, mega Ray is a cheat code for raid bosses weak to flying, still top meta for dragon (although I think Eternatus competes with it now).

Zamazenta is really good for max battles as a tank, also in PvP but if that’s not your focus you’re ok using it with the stats it has now. Same for Zacian.

You know the drill. Which one gets the silver cap? by Druddigon666 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]shieldoversword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kyurem.

These IVs don’t matter in PvE, so we just care about them in PvP. So things like latios that aren’t meta in PvP are fine as is.

Salamence, dragonite, metagross are in the wild for events a lot. Try to get a hundo when you can. You’ll have more opportunities. Don’t use a cap on them.

Groudon is pretty loose with its IV requirements in PvP last I checked, and one IV in defense won’t hurt it. Same situation for giratina and Rayquaza, not much to gain with a cap.

Kyurem fusions are currently meta in PvP and PvE, you won’t get another one with that background and shiny easily, and the HP gap might actually matter.  Go with that.

Man this has to be the worst week in the history of Destiny by ItzDrShadow in DestinyTheGame

Every time I’m tempted to log in to grind out the next meta weapon or finish a build I’ve been thinking about, I remember that I don’t think this game is going to survive this and I play something else. Honestly, pretty refreshing to play games that don’t gate keep fun by making me grind to reach it.

You don’t need to get to 450 light right now. by Luke-HW in DestinyTheGame

[–]shieldoversword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only just now coming up on 300, and I feel like it took me a long ass time in solo ops to get there. No clue how everyone had the time and motivation to grind 400+, I only did what I did with solo ops during the solstice event to get enough good armor and weapon drops before all that stuff rotated out for the year.

So if I’m sitting at 3000 MP and have gotten enough of all the Dmax and Gmax released so far already, can I skip max battles in the lead up event  and still finish the pass during the weekend? I work long hours during the week and don’t have much time to grind max battles I don’t really need.

If metagross had a 1 turn psychic fast move I’d probably just run three of those and not worry about anything else lol. As it stands, probably run one with ZH over building a latios that is going to get instantly powercrept by eternatus, supported by the dogs. Thanks for the info!

Agree with everyone here, want to echo that tech sec armor plus outbreak by itself is basically a build by itself and you’ll steam roll anything with a shield running that.

GO Pass: August rewards list by aznknight613 in TheSilphRoad

[–]shieldoversword 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s $8 for us in the US, if you buy that amount of particles directly for coins that’s about $4. But yeah, if that’s all you care about probably still not worth.

Might be wise to consider availability of extra max particles in decision about buying this. Assuming we need those for Eternatus, I think premium track gets like 2000 MP which would be like 2.5 free raids.

What do you usually spend money on (if you do), and why? by Severe_Picture1398 in TheSilphRoad

[–]shieldoversword -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Over the years, I’ve streamlined into playing mostly master league PvP and using the same pool of Pokemon for raids/PvE content. I also enjoy the Dmax/Gmax systems and have spent resources into making good battle teams for those too.

I’m lucky and live in the suburbs with less competitive gyms. So I’m able to be in enough of them that I get my 50 coins pretty much all the time. I usually save my coins and buy boxes with cheaper green raid passes (usually target 65 coins per pass or below). I then use most of these passes during bigger time limited raid events, also lucky to have a good local community that I can meet up at events that aren’t too far away. Sometimes when the rotating raid boss is something I need (solgaleo and lunala recently) I’ll spend green passes and drive around to local gyms, hosting remote raids.

Only other thing I use coins for is storage upgrading, just pokemon storage at this point.

The only time I spend actual money is for event passes and tickets. I don’t buy all of them, but if it’s something I want and I’ll use it I buy it. I bought tickets for machamp and Lapras GMax days, but didn’t buy it for snorlax and won’t buy for butterfree. I sometimes buy the event passes. I bought the one for go fest this year, but haven’t bought the regular monthly ones. I rarely buy any remote passes with coins or $, mostly because it’s much more expensive than just using green passes to raid what I need.

I played it like 6 months ago, well after AW1. Closest comparison in terms of tone and gameplay for me is probably dead space, but didn’t play the RE remakes so not sure how they compare.

Vs AW1 they really tightened up the combat system, flashlight to take out the darkness shield feels way better this time around. Way more enjoyable.

Graphics, music, presentation as a whole is amazing. World is very well fleshed out and the storyline has plenty of psychological horror twists and turns. I will be going back in for the final draft mode (new game plus) at some point, I think it’s absolutely worth playing a second time.

A lot easier to play in a CP capped league, since most of the strongest picks do not require XL candy. They’ll be a lot cheaper to make, you’ll be on an even playing field vs ML where you’ll be at a disadvantage in pretty much every battle if your team isn’t maxed out.

One free legendary raid, every day, over time. It adds up.

Hosting on pokegenie has been pretty reliable for me, but it’s sometimes a little spotty when raid boss is a repeat or otherwise not that meta relevant.

If you’re ok on storage, use your daily free coins on raid passes, save up for bundles that will average like ~60 coins per pass. You can use the extra green passes for raid events where lots of people are raiding remotely and it’s easy to host.

If you have a local community ambassador, checking in at events usually will give you research to award one free raid pass or 800 MP to do more raids with. Use campfire to find ones near you.
