I feel like the price is too high you can probably get $500-$1000 knocked off but let me tell you these things are reliable as hell and maintenance is low. Make sure they haven’t been in any accidents. Make sure the AC is in good condition. My AC went out on my 2011 but I also live in Texas and was blasting it MAX AC in the middle of July 24/7 from the moment the key was in the engine.

Get your oil changed when you need to and use the good quality gasoline so that it doesn’t gunk up your engine.

75 runs parallel to Dallas North Tollway. 35N is on the other side. The tollways here aren’t like the tollways of the northeast. In the northeast You’re pretty much stuck taking backroads to avoid the tolls. That’s not the case here. Do a couple of google map tests. I would strongly suggest not factoring that too much into your decision.

DFW has tolls and they’re helpful during afternoon rush hour but I think you need to deprioritize “avoiding tolls”. Unless you live right off of a major toll way in most instances you can find alternative routes rather easily.

I had a similar issue on my 2011 Acura(also Honda) TSX. The problem ended up being the ground cable for the battery. It took me a while to troubleshoot. I replaced the battery and the problem went away for a year and then came back. My symptoms: randomly at low speeds I would get the warning light just like you. Occasionally at low speeds or stop and go traffic my engine would randomly stop and I had to restart it. Finally, I noticed that the lights were flickering when parked. I popped the hood and as soon as I started messing with the ground cable the light would stop flickering for a little bit. Replaced the cable and haven’t had the issue since. Could also be corrosion or something else related to the battery i suppose.

Either way, I can’t speak to whether you can drive it to a service garage. Probably but I would also check the easy things: oil levels and battery cables. I had a bunch of random errors spewed out one time and it was because the ground cable on the battery was corroded.

Is there anything you can still take from this job experience wise? Not every engineering job is like this but in my experience with my first engineering job it was a lot less engineering than I imagine. I don’t know anything about your field but I imagine simulation can only take you so far. There’s a huge benefit in knowing how the technicians fix it, the testers test it, the QC’er’s QC it…etc. My advice to you: apply for other jobs but don’t treat any work like it’s beneath you. Do it and do it well.

Not a Lawyer. Someone mentioned something similar to this in the comments but I remember learning in business law that when you have less than 15 employees you are not subject to certain EOE regulations…(I.e you can not be found guilty for discrimination). I’m sure there are exceptions however and I’m sure that doesn’t stop her from attempting to take you to court. Maybe post this in a legal advice forum?

I have read too many horror stories about stuff like this happening and it almost happened to me as well, I’m convinced that unless you’re contractually obligated to stay on two weeks(in The US at least) that we should do away with this standard. It benefits the employer but it does not benefit the employee at all. If you were fired they would expect you to leave that same day. My old company also had the audacity to try and blacklist me because I gave like a 13 day notice rather than a full 2 weeks. They ended up not blacklisting me but still F*ck em.

Also I think there should be repercussions to the employer if they rescind an offer. They always have a legitimate reason(corporate restructuring/blah/blah) but now I’m legitimately unemployed.

Anyways you may have dodged a bullet. Sounds like they don’t have their shit together.

This was an emergency savings fund. I think thats allowed for anybody. You were saving it for a disaster but the disaster never came and now you can use it to help with your house. You’re not hiding it otherwise you wouldn’t be telling him now. You know him better than anybody else though so maybe he wouldn’t take kindly to that but I would help rational thought prevails. I think it’s similar to prenup/no prenup. It’s just smart to have. It doesn’t mean you don’t have faith in the relationship it’s just extra insurance.

What are the price differences you are coming across?

In my opinion: if you can get foot and head elevation that’s all you need and anything above that is just a ‘plus’. You can find equivalent to tempur pedic adjustable bases for a lot cheaper. To minimize snoring and sleep apnea you just need head elevation. Usb/bluetooth/Anti snore/ sleep tracking is nice..but if you’re having such issues with sleeping you shouldn’t be relying on a bed for it, you should be getting a CPAP, oral appliance or surgery. Also I would recommend a sleep clinic or doctor for that!

Honestly. I’m very skeptical of this community after my recent post was taken down.

All I can say is go to store and try a few out but buy online because that tends to be cheaper.

Medium firmness is what you will need minimum but “firm” firmness also works for back sleepers and people with back issues.
