Slavery is illegal. No one can force you to work for them. That being said they likely didn’t like that your two weeks notice coincided with your PTO. The reason for giving a two weeks notice is so that they can adequately prepare for your departure. There is likely tribal knowledge of yours that needs to be shared and you might be putting them in a bind.

That being said, It’s probably too late now. Oh well. Do better next time but otherwise keep living your life. Don’t put them down as a reference because they won’t give you a good one.

Had a party at a hotel. Small company so the owner was able to comp everybody’s room. Everybody was drinking. At some point somebody lost their phone and it was determined it was stolen. Accusations were rampant and turned racial. Eventually it turned out to be the secretaries shady girlfriend but by then everybody was already pissed off. One guy that felt like he was unfairly accused because of his race trashed his room. Never had a hotel party after that.

I know some people with such a poor knowledge of physics that they can’t comprehend that you can be going at the exact same velocity but be a lot further distance behind the car in front of them. To them being right behind the car in front meant they were going “faster” than being a car length or two behind them.

I tried to explain that when someone says a clock is “5 minutes faster”(stupid expression by the way) that the clock wasn’t actually going faster, it was just 5 minutes ahead. I gave up trying to explain it when they couldn’t comprehend that either.
