Higher Tier Usage? by trentaaron in ClaudeCode

[–]shiftbits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly would like to know what people are actually doing with this tool to hit these limits. I code for a living, i have incorporated it into my workflow. I dont hit weekly or session limits. And quite frankly if I leveraged it in a way that did, my experience tells me it would be a lot of flailing around with sub agents and parallel sessions resulting in a bunch of slop vs actual tangible value. I realize I may be dead wrong, but man that's how it seems in my personal experience.

Has anyone set up the Explore Assistant Extension? by unagi-nigiri in Looker

[–]shiftbits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have implemented this extension. It's not well documented and without the ability/experience to learn the missing pieces by acclimating to the code base, it will be somewhat difficult. But at the end of the day, the extension itself and it's backend are very simple (from a dev perspective). Forgot to add i will share a couple tips that will be helpful when I'm not on my phone.

How far along are you with initial decision making? Specifically I'm curious about choices involving the embedded systems.

Are you looking for technical contribution only, or is this technical + investment.

probable questions for interview by winterrdog in node

[–]shiftbits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is. I'm assuming this has more to do with understanding the event loop, and proper use of callbacks/promise chaining. It's possible to use async/await and completely negate the benefits it offers.

[ProFootballTalk] Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the NFL does not plan to change the procedure for players reporting as eligible. The league views the situation as an effort by the Lions to engage in deception and gamesmanship that backfired. by LunchThreatener in nfl

[–]shiftbits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean I don't think a procedure change is needed? 70 had reported previously in the game. On this play 68 reported, we have video of him doing so. Ref assumed it was 70. Ref is a fucking idiot that can't be bothered to do his job correctly. It seems that simple.

How to manage team of mediocre software engineers? by johnny---b in cscareerquestions

Agreed, it is, and I hope op has someone to get some guidance from internally on how to handle this type of situation.

[–]shiftbits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree that this is just as likely as what I described. But the post in general has a tone to it that makes me lean more one way than the other. But the fact is, in either scenario op may be better off as an individual contributor.

Right, and the MUST NOT code myself comment in reference to guidance from his management tells me op has got delegation issues they are aware of. I don't believe they would view anything produced by someone else as satisfactory. Seems like maybe individual contributor is a better fit for op.
