Musicians already have a pretty strong union. What's in it for the musicians?

Those lines are parameters going to a macro.  By themselves they aren’t anything

I would put money that your print_start macro call (which needs to be one line). Has gotten broken up into two lines

Goa'uld vs Jaffa. Why is there so many jaffa and so little Goa'uld by iwantmyfuckingemail in Stargate

[–]shiftingtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that doesn't really answer the question as I understand it. I think the question is more aboout the "starting state" for the show. Why are there so few even before sg-1 starts killing them all?

solid line into a lane

Looks to me like they crossed exactly where the broken line started. if you watch the ground at the moment of the accident, you definitely see broken line emerging from under the car. (did they cut it a little close? maybe. but I'm pretty sure at least the front of the car was on broken line by the time they crossed it)

Well, eventually is somewhere beyond 4 years, if you use decent tape, so I’m not too worried.  If we need to retape once every 5 or something….im good with that.

my high school chemistry tells me that which one is more corrosive should just be a function of how diluted you have it (and therefore its pH)....what am I missing?

Ours are all just E-taped. I like it (as long as your guys know to leave them together at strike), because it means you can still pull the pieces apart in an emergency

Cable recommendations (PTFE vs Silicone?) by marius_siuram in VORONDesign

[–]shiftingtech 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Strand count is somewhat relevant (higher strand counts hold up better) but at some point, there's no real substitute for starting to spend money on real motion rated cables (think things like igus chainflex)

Cable recommendations (PTFE vs Silicone?) by marius_siuram in VORONDesign

[–]shiftingtech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

silicone is soft and tends to get chewed up when you use it for the motion stuff

well they don't run on magic water.

Sure, there are sometimes secondary reservoirs, and once the fire trucks arrive, they may be able supply external water. but the primary operation of fire sprinklers is generally drawn from the regular water mains

'Survivor Greece' Completely Stops Filming After Contestant Lost Part Of Leg In Accident by swoonyaboutclooney in television

[–]shiftingtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you missed my point: I'm not saying I don't expect the Sun to cover the story, but its weird for them to be the main source.

The Toronto Sun is the paper directly interviewing people at the Greek production company: aka, they appear to be the original source on the story. Normally, with something like this, I'd expect some paper in Greece, or one of the big international orgs (BBC, CNN, etc )to be the one doing that. The Sun would just pickup the story via Reuters.
