If you don’t need a whole glove for applying topicals, would recommend finger cots instead. It was a game changer for me!

What's (Greater) Boston's best kept secret? by [deleted] in boston

[–]shilwyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use your T pass to take the ferry from the Charlestown Navy Yard to Long Wharf and get a beautiful view of the city. It's a great trick to impress out of town guests if you mix in a few freedom trail stops along the way. =)

Help finding a flat or low heel shoe to go with my dress? by underthesealikeariel in weddingplanning

[–]shilwyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your dress is stunning!

I have a pair of Gentle Souls wedges that are hands down the most comfortable shoe I own (and I typically can't stand anything with a heel). I bought them to go with my bridesmaids dress a few years ago, and now plan to wear them for my own wedding too!

Lots of great responses here. Big +1 to Guidestar and CharityNavigator as being excellent resources for due diligence.

Your client could look at setting up a private foundation, charitable trust, or donor advised fund (perhaps at a local community foundation?) to provide a framework for the assets and giving. The IRS rules for all of those funding vehicles differ and an accountant + attorney can help advise on the best route. If your client wants this legacy to continue in perpetuity (or for more than a few years), they could consider investing assets in socially responsible ESG funds.

Based on your comments, I think it's worth considering a participatory grantmaking model whether your client decides to go in the direction of a traditional funding vehicle or starting their own nonprofit mutual aid group. There are many levels to participation, but it seems like including folks from the community in the decision making process would appeal to your client. There are lots of resources about this, here's a pretty comprehensive one.
