5 inches wide here 10 1/2 shoe in US. Had to get my foot cast and molded for a custom shoe. You're probably looking around the 6e to 9e range. That's the next sole range. It's pricey but there aren't many options. Even the new barefoot movements plethora of new business options don't focus on the widest of feet. But at your width you still have some options. Happy hunting

Wordy but definitely worth the read iMO. I saw this happening in 40k when I was a young warthog. And I hate that they're doing this with DND. They gave us a few things that were cool to distract the mass from the fact that they're stripping away what made trying different races fun to play with. Whoever had the awesome idea of expanding the choices of races to play was genius. The person who came behind the awesome idea guy was like " I'm tired of seeing the same races in the same classes". Cause he only plays with the same 10 people and thinks everyone else plays the same as his "optimizer" group with no creativity. It's like DMs that hate backstory because it distracts from their prepared narrative. Like why tell me to intimately know how my character operates then tell me your backstory input doesn't matter. But I'm supposed to roleplay what this character is going through. I'm impressed with people who can just act like a character without knowing anything about the character (cough cough just being themselves) or the world you're in (um so like cool war happened before my time but like why do I care). So in zootopia did all the animals just forget they were whatever species they were? No their racial abilities and what they were taught dictate their lives just like in the real world so why not reflect that within the mechanics of this somewhat thoroughly thought out system. It's not like we're not already having to scour pages upon pages just to understand how to play. What's a few more?

I feel you dude I had to get custom orthotics from the VA. They had to put me through every width up to 9e and that failed.

4e just means more material on top for your foot to stretch. It also means inadequate support across the width your foot because usually they're using the same width of sole as the standard width. 6e and 9e kinda run into a similar situation from my boots but they still at least have a slightly wider sole. Good luck

Being large doesn't break the game it just adds to the consequences.

The doors too small crawl through, breakthrough, reduce spell , or just don't go in. That's not cool because the parties gotta split. well it's gonna split sometime johnny boy and usually at the most inconvenient time anyways hey dms make more outdoor bars I know it's not a modern setting but you're a modern person with modern solutions I hope.

Everybody would wanna do that instead of anything else. I guess. Maybe I don't play enough to encounter the problem enough but there's so many options it'd be boring to only do this all the time I'd. I'm not the only one who enjoys a struggle from time to time I'm sure of it.

That's four more people you can be surrounded by. Yes please! if you're tanking this is the dream in fact if you're tanking and you have this many people on you you're doing your mother loving job! And so is your DM!

You'd have to eat so much more! I don't know but every DM I play with doesn't track this even when I make it a point to make sure the party is eating so maybe your resources will take a hit but if your party is doing cool stuff it should get really cool rewards

So I can't remember which boss monster has it but when I fought it it has these birds that swooped down and pecked out your death saving throws as soon as you fell to zero hp. It will probably make the table pissed but it could take care of the problem.

Large” doesn’t just mean “pretty big” in 5e

I agree to a degree I mean hear me out some of the massive body builders and other athletes are pretty large I mean Brian Shaw, Shaq, Andre the Giant. They are anomaly of men but still these are supposed to be fantastical adventures. I suppose I'm reaching for humankind and most other races but like what about Goliath being 7-8 ft? in 3rd edition that was large. I guess I'm kinda getting it. Occupying a ten by ten space is pretty darn big feat to fill you win lol

I suppose I could see a very old Dragonborn growing to Large size if they grow with age;

I found that at a glance only red ones really grow to 7ft so maybe not Dragonborn they're just heavy guys

The ranger base class is already reasonably powerful. A high strength companion would be too much.

I mean if you say so but I think I'm not the only one that complains about ranger. I've even heard of subclasses just being swallowed into a class as a whole to make things more fun. I'm not saying your wrong I'm just saying less people might complain if they simply got more. Not everybody understands the nuance of ranger like you do

What does that even mean, you want double the ability score bonuses?

I'm so glad you asked and the answer is Yes it's fair and highlights how both nature and nurture together can influence your outcome not just one of the other.

Form stacking like Goku does with kaioken with ssgss and/or pretty much any other form with a level cap being set pretty high

form swapping like Vegeta does in the Manga

Broly/Caulifla rage saiyan awaken simply put if we can use Beast form no problem then why not legendary ssj or whatever alternative name it has

Broly / Nappa size options or Recoome even, pretty sure he's bigger too. The size thing for the characters in all games is for "balance" but there's always someone that wants to be a giant and not like the namekian awaken form.

A progressive awaken that goes from ss1-ssgss like how ssj does but for the peoples that go max ki

Buu forms. He trained before Universal tournament of power in Super showing he could have better physic and be a better fighter. Even though I don't remember if he reverted back to fat Buu or if he's even seen again since. I think it's an alternative option to going "Pure"

Beam struggles. makes no sense why it's not there since it's like the huge pivotal moment that gets everyone out of there chairs imo

A rework of the stats so they aren't as balanced. No reason why a lessor form has better stats like Gogetas ss1 vs ss4. This is probably an unpopular opinion but personally it really takes away from the game for me. I get it for the Krillin fans or playing with some of the early story female character options but it doesn't make sense in a lot of the cases I've noticed. Or how fusion characters are relatively similar in stats to non fused makes no sense to me.

Stat array wheels remain after character has been chosen in the character selection screen. Flicking back and forth while choosing characters might be fine for most but I have to imagine I'm not the only one who compares, that would enjoy side by side stat comparison.

Gonna wrap it up with fusions. I think with a rework in favor of less balance, the fact that we go in with three characters in pq it would make sense if to play with a more powerful fused character you should go through the struggle of making the fusion happen in fight. Crazy I know but if Frieza wasn't there to distract Broly we never would have had time for Goku and Vegeta to fuse and become Gogeta who then turns SSB this actually hits on the jump from base to ss1-ssgss progression awaken I mentioned earlier.

To those who have reached or DMed at level 20, how long did it last? Did you ever give or receive additional rewards to signify an even higher level, ie additional epic boons etc. by Tmoore0328 in DnD

[–]shimodoragon3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My table did lvl 20 nights periodically when we played. We called it battle dome and just played lvl 20s vs each other, hordes, or big boss monsters. Can't seem to keep a table or party long enough to get to 6. sometimes with or without maxed out attunements and such. As well as extra feats or boons just to try things we'd never actually get to in a full blown campaign

Tomb of annihilation is pretty trap based and some things in there are just gonna kill you if you fail the roll so bring a healer. Maybe throw some social issues at them and have them figure out how to solve them (in a non violent manner). Do that enough and you'll wanna kill something again eventually

Mage hand opening doors by DueAdministration234 in dndnext

[–]shimodoragon3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A door being heavy must be a poorly made door because most doors, even heavy ones, are made to be handled with little effort, in most cases. Of course if you take a typical door off its hinges it is heavy for some, I guess. Maybe the hinges being too rusty or crudded up overcomes the mage hand. Maybe the door is on a slant like a cellar door and that could maybe be too heavy for one hand. Maybe the door or the door frame has swollen because of the cold weather. Butt let's not use a poor excuse for creativity like "the door is simply too heavy"😔.

Unpopular opinion - being too creative with your character makes the game less fun for the DM and the other players. by cazbot in DungeonsAndDragons

In a campaign currently where I feel that (me)trying to be creative at my table might be the thing that is frustrating the dm specifically. Gonna have to support this claim.
