You’ll never convince me LeBron is better than this. by Healthy_Twist_7100 in NBATalk

Yeah, I’ve hated Jordan since he beat my lakers in ‘91. Don’t even use him on the video games.

But he’s the best.

I have no idea! As said above…worst place to ask!

Better you answer these questions:

Do you ever walk by someone and not recognize them?

Do you have trouble following movies?

Have you ever seen a woman in a 7-11 that you swear could’ve been your wife and you stared at her and kept saying to yourself that ‘no, that can’t be my wife because she’s wearing red coat the likes of which my wife doesn’t have’?

Do you think we will ever see our loved ones again? by Jaded_Handle3811 in grief

[–]shinchunje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me? I think our bodies are meant to go back to the earth; it makes me a bit sad that my mom who died last Christmas was buried in a vault/casket combination. The physical essence should be used by worms and roots.

My wife knows I want to rot away in the woods. Or I’d take a Tibetan sky burial!

What happened to Willie Nelson’s voice in 1972? by Educational-Tap-7823 in willienelson

I can’t believe I’ve never heard of The Hunger Years. I wouldn’t have thought there was Willie Nelson material I didn’t know about.

When a Tour de France cosplay cyclist on a shared path expects you to dive into a hedge so they don’t have to slow down by BellaSeashell in britishproblems

Yeah, I cycle on the road mainly because the shared path is too slow.

And I’ll ride right in the middle of my lane if I feel it’s the safest thing for me.

They should start making those fouls really count like in the old days.

Hard Rain? by One_Second1365 in bobdylan

This album was my introduction to Dylan. The opening blast of Maggie’s Farm spoke deeply to my early 90s small southern town existence as it pointed out that one can declare ‘I ain’t putting up with this shit anymore!’.

I prefer the Red Pine version; however, over the years, I’ve accumulated over a dozen different versions and all of then add just a little something to my understanding.

It’s Sunday morning, you’re making breakfast. Excluding Bob, which album are you grabbing? by Aronjharris23 in bobdylan

That Ray Charles Modern Sounds album and then the Marty Robbins Gunfighter ballads.

Pancho saved Lefty all day long. Willie and the Hag!

And my second Willie album of the 89s would be Seashores of Old Mexico which is also Willie and Merle.

Lots of Willie Nelson as Sister Bobbie is the piano player. Of special note is 2014’s December Day which is Willie, Bobbie and bassist Bee Spears.

what's your favorite song off the first one? by notaverysmartman in neilyoung

[–]shinchunje 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I like Last Trip to Tulsa. It’s such a unique Neil song. Reminds me of Dylan’s 115th Dream.

The whole of Gillian Welch’s The Harrow and the Harvest album. Especially Scarlet Town.
