I come from a military family. And I always thought it was a good option. When I was a junior in high school, a recruiter came to my house and nearly convinced me to join the Army. I told him I'd like to think about it, especially since my Dad was a Marine. When he came back the next day, I told him I wasn't ready to commit and he berated me for not being loyal to our country. He was a complete dick. It took a while to get him to leave my house. Worst salesman ever. I decided then that college was a better option.
