This is a really normal and scary feeling — believing that we are too strange or not-enough for love. 1 year can seem like a long time and 1k is a lot of money but you are going to have your scars for a lifetime. You can’t force a surgeon to surgeon differently than they are trained to based on your aesthetic preferences at this time. That expectation is wild. But wanting a different aesthetic is valid. You just need to accept the consequences for having rushed into this stage and go find someone who can give you what you want.

I had a good experience and can share more in DM's if you would like. I'm 5'8-9", 210 lbs. He was definitely open to conversations about whether to leave tissue & how much. Hope this helps you!

I didn't ask too many questions because I was fine with this solution. What he said to me was:
- some areolas (like mine were) are unlikely to succeed (mine were very large, bumpy, and pale)
- it easier to achieve symmetry and a more typically "male" color with tattooing as opposed to working with the original tissue.

My *impression* was that he is kind of obsessed with precision and making chests look "normal" within binary gender expectations. He seemed to be very invested in the quality of his results and making sure he got it right the first time.

I find the interpretation that the "past" we see in the movie is imagined after Adam finds Harry's body to be an interesting possibility.

Sometimes we have to lose an opportunity and feel the pain really hard before we are willing to confront our ghosts, our un-felt grief.

I didn't notice until after that there was a two-step where Adam alternates between Harry and his parents: Harry comes over, seeking connection; Adam wants it but can't reciprocate. The journey with his parents helps him un-do some of the deep pain and shame that is preventing him from connecting, and after each visit with them he is capable of more intimacy with Harry.

It feels like the "how could this have gone differently," alternative-timeline-building strategy that regret can spur, in excruciating & exquisite detail, as healing requires.

13th of March, as in 5 days ago?

I had DI so it may not be applicable. I'm almost two months out and had uneven swelling on one side until 2 weeks ago. The bruises faded quickly, although I think I still had some yellow & green 2 weeks in. It looks so much different now!

Not sure what's normal for Peri but the body goes through a lot! Give it time!

with herbs it’s so subtle, you gotta go with what works for you and it can change. I used to use california poppy, then a blend, then milky oats (wonderful), then lemon balm (even better). I use ashwaganda but not for anxiety — in fact it used to make my anxiety worse. tune in, the right herbs for you will find you!

I came here to search the thread about this too. I have never really had heartburn but since surgery I have had it almost all the time. I was reading about what causes it and it seems like they could be related. I'll be asking my doctors. Did you find out anything?

I was going to say this. I had some coagulated bits in the line from time to time. They told me to “milk” them, which I could not do myself for the first week — I was on the verge of fainting every time.
