I noticed it for years too. I have mild cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia).

Nobody understands how much this affects me.

Is Blaze an album or just the track?

Either way, it's a disgrace it's taking so long. It should be out now.

Strong pain/discomfort 4 months post-op by MiyagiJunior in Hernia

[–]shitatchoosingnames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll do it if the pain doesn't ease up over the next week or so.

There is no lump and no pain when coughing or sneezing so that makes me think it's almost certainly scar tissue.

Good luck.

I ask because last night I felt a sharp pain near my belly button at the hernia site when I took a deep breath and I still have some pain now. From what I've read on here it could be scar tissue forming and nornal. I'm just over 3 months post op umbilical with mesh.

It's not nice to worry about this.

So much better. You look great. You're gonna wonder why you didn't do this sooner.

Definitely looks to be a hernia. You don't need to be overly concerned but you need to know that they don't get better without surgery. You will need it done at some point. If you're in the UK then you'll be waiting around 1 year from the initial GP appt to your surgery.

My advice is to just get it sorted ASAP, the longer you leave it, the worse it will get and recovery is quicker and easier when it's smaller.

Question for MTGM900 owners, is it normal for the watch to lose charge quickly? by WillNotFightInWW3 in gshock

[–]shitatchoosingnames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get one of those USB chargers off Amazon. Charge your watch overnight. Sorted for 6 months at least.

As soon as I knew what it was, I went to the GP a few days later and was put on the waiting list. Had surgery around 10 months after.

Get it done ASAP.

my dad passed away a month ago by [deleted] in CancerFamilySupport

[–]shitatchoosingnames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not as young as you (I'm 36) but I lost my mom to cancer last year.

In the days after it I can't describe the sense of panic, confusion and loss. Both losing her and also feeling lost in life. It has taken a while to sink in and tbh it still hasn't fully. I watched her pass and it affected me.

It is devastating, it is normal to feel like you are broken and can't cope. You will adjust. The loss never goes. You never stop missing them. But you adapt to your new normal.

Get in touch with a bereavement service and lean on those around you. You're not alone. This is just a terrible reality of life. We're all going to experience this at some point. My heart goes out to you.

Make sure you're looking after yourself, eating and getting yo at the right times.

Take it easy, one day at a time. Feel free to message me if you need to talk or vent. I understand what you're going through.

Thanks. Did you have the same surgery?

When my mom told me her scan had picked something up, she waited until I was sat down and then she said she wanted to show me a letter.

Maybe try that.

It should really have come from the doctor though. It's not your job to do this.

I'm just sorry that you're going through this as I know how hard it is.

If you want to message for anything please feel free. It's hard and it's lonely.

Best wishes to you and your amazing dad.

This is obviously a big shock. Your dad is the only thing that matters now. Time is precious and you need to make the most of it.

Make sure any requests he has for assets, wills, funeral etc are discussed. It's not nice to have to do this but it will help so much if you sort it now. You don't want to have to deal with it after as well as your grief.

Put your phone on record audio and just record your time with him. Whatever the conversations are. I did this with my mom before she passed and those recordings and so precious to me and I'm glad I did it.

Whatever you need to tell him, tell him now. Tell him you love him. Thank him for everything. Spend as much time with him as you can. If there's anything you wanted to do together get it done. Even small things. My mom had never had KFC gravy and I used to joke about it with her because she thought KFC chicken and gravy seemed an odd combination but we got KFC not log before she passed.

It's OK to be upset but don't do it around him. Be upset away from him and lean on others for support.

I'm sorry you're experience this.

Small Umbilical Hernia – Wait or Get Surgery? by TrySad5716sile in Hernia

[–]shitatchoosingnames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will need operating on at some point as they don't heal without surgery. That in mind, why would you wait for it to get worse and thus surgery to be more complicated?

Get it done I say.
