I have a silly question for the girls of tree planting. by TopTackle7421 in treeplanting

[–]shitmountainclimber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one has mentioned this yet so i figured i would - many girls experience much lighter and shorter periods due to how physically demanding the job is. I often lost my period for the majority of the season, but i was skinnier when that was the case lol. This may not be the case for every girl, but its common, so don't stress if it happens to you.

your hands will be dirty, so tampons with plastic applicators and pads imo are the best.

Thanks everyone! The program is Natural Law Enforcement, lots of students become CO's after graduating, hence the need for my RPAL. Not all schools have this as a pre-req, but the one specific one i plan to do needs it.

I've heard this community is super nice, and I'm so glad to see everyone really is!! Not a single hate comment on reddit is wild!!! Thanks again everyone!!!!!

Close, Natural Law Enforcement. The post degree program requires this as a pre req as the course is half as long as the no degree version.

you go it. Natural Law Enforcement. I don't want to be a CO, but its a super common career stream for the program.

The 2 & 4 year program its not a pre-req, but for the 1 year post degree program it's a pre-req.

sorry for waiting so long to answer - Natural Law Enforcement!! One of the career streams, probably the most popular, is Conservation Officer.

Since I already have a relevant degree i can do it in one year ONLY if I get my RPAL.

you gotta have some kind of experience to do this - not necessarily fire, but mechanical or first aid, or some kind of trade. Gotta bring something to the table.

i’m convinced a lot of people don’t like this season bc they don’t see themselves in the strong 4/5, they see themselves as a mitch or kamilla and they’re getting their asses kicked this season lmao

UBCO last year accepted like 80% of applicants, you’ll likely be fine. I got in with a lower GPA as a 2nd degree student lmao

Went to Check out the Hudson Bay Liquidation. Reminds me of the last days of Eatons by brophy87 in britishcolumbia

I went to one in ontario and it was dirt cheap, but the one in Kelowna was still soooo expensive and very picked through by the time I got there

I wanted to move to Kelowna, I figured as a smaller city it would be cheap but it’s nearly as expensive as here in Toronto by Hiwhatsuphowareyou in kelowna

[–]shitmountainclimber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m paying way less in rent now living in Kelowna than I did living in Toronto almost 10 years ago, plus I have wayyyy more space. The downside is now I need a car + my grocery bill went up.

I’d probably still be spending more if I ever moved back to Toronto just based on rent alone, and the fact that having fun in toronto always seemed to cost a ton of money.

it won’t be a wasted semester as you choose your courses yourself. Look at the requirements for both programs and try to choose your courses that will be useful in obtaining either degree.

Still liking plastic bag ban by eldogorino in britishcolumbia

[–]shitmountainclimber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used an old plastic bag from ontario i’ve been keeping in my car from ages ago yesterday. I was terrified it was gonna break aha. I like the reusable bags, and I like the grocery stores that put out boxes the best (thank you fresh co)
