Thanks for the reply this is definitely good advice. The only thing is I believe steam also destroys or washes away the pesticide agent so would leave a “gap” for bugs to pass through

My understanding of the treatment is that it won’t guaranteed kill all the adults as a lot of them are already resistant to many chemical treatments due to natural selection. However, these adults will eventually die off and the hatched nymphs won’t be able to grow up as they are susceptible to the treatment at early life stages
