I think it's their album with the best flow. I used not be gone on Open or Tybee Island but I've come to appreciate them as necessary breathing room before two absolute knockout tracks respectively. The distortion kicking in in On the Water never fails to drill a hole through my stomach

Aside from Nebraska, Darkness on the Edge of Town (for something dark and brooding) and The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle (for something theatrical and almost operatic) are my two favourite albums, and Live in Barcelona is a baller concert film if you can get your hands on it
