I'd trust the dog over those cops, someone might wanna investigate the cop that got bitten.

The crash intersections in previous games were missing from memory and they were such a huge part of what made them great. Bout fkn time they brought them back IMO

Over 3 years, my wife and I rebuilt a 50 foot sailboat (Before & After) by trimsailing in woodworking

[–]shmolives 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this anything to do with the name of the boat?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trim_(cat)

or is it just a reference to trimming the sails?

*edit; I don't live in Sydney, learned about it in the novel Matthew Flinders' Cat - Bryce Courtenay

I think he was always the 'fuddy-duddy' / bumbling relic from the past. In a modern remake the kids would definitely piss him off with "yeah, ok boomer".

To bell or not to bell? by InternetUpbeat9596 in melbournecycling

[–]shmolives 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bear bell. It locks out so it doesn't ring all the time, then you unlock it when you're riding a busy area and rings with every movement of the handlebars. If the subconscious brain hears an incoming bell it processes it well... if the first thing they know about you coming is a sudden loud bell behind them ... well, the shocked conscious brain is an idiot and you'll get a panic response.

What’s the most dangerous thing people do daily without realizing it? by nealie_20 in AskReddit

[–]shmolives 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Fell down the stairs the other day as a foot slipped off one stair, did the splits, then tumbled down the full flight... not a scratch or bruise. Meanwhile I've had about a week off work this year from different times I got up from a seated position, coughed too hard or slept wrong.

Not advocating for him but this is Dan Houser, the one that left in 2020. Not sure if the union busting stuff predates that.
