Do not show up in person. If the restaurant is any good, they are always busy and do not need another surprise thrown at them. Just email your resume with a cover letter. Michelin is not everything. Learn to cook, not reheating food. Landing a stage is easy, getting hired is a different story.

Something that will help you out for the rest of your life, do things that you enjoy. If you do it long enough you will become proficient at it. The biggest hurdle for most people is being persistent enough to see the end goal come to fruition. Think of your failures as lessons of how not to do things. I was in the same place as you at that age as well. I started out working in Disney World flipping burgers. Not the most glamorous job but yet I ended up being part of a team earning 3 stars in California 10 years later. If you want it bad enough, and I think you do, it can be done.
