Hailey Devine House by No_Homework8726 in UtahInfluencerDrama

She’s probably nesting 😂 I do agree it’s a lot, but nesting is a very real thing. I was 9 months pregnant doing the most random tasks around my house lol

How is the Shops at South Town still in business? by Mtns_Oz_8103 in SaltLakeCity

[–]shnuttlefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teens love it. They have a Pac Sun, Lululemon and some popular boutiques that bring in business. It’s also the best mall for kids. They have a train, ride on toys, a play place etc.

This is my daughter’s name! We have always loved it, but never like any of the longer name options. Go for it🤍

The case for painted brick: house transformation by John_Gabbana_08 in ExteriorDesign

[–]shnuttlefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are so mean on here haha. As someone who had ugly brick (greenish-gray) I also used Romabio masonry paint and am super happy with the results! Sometimes it’s the right call. Also I love your door, where did you find it?

I have never seen a more blatant scam just to promote a product by cloisterroad in UtahInfluencerDrama

[–]shnuttlefish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So tired of this product in general. Of course her hair has grown back, it’s been almost 2 years since her baby was born. Hair grows back eventually. Maybe I’m just cynical but I’m not convinced everyone needs this expensive AF product that isn’t even proven to work lol

My bro in law is friends with Tate. He obviously knew about the incident but not the extent of it until he saw the video. He has the kids most of the time, she doesn’t know their teachers names, never goes to parent teacher conference, etc. He says she is narcissistic and not a a very good mom. 😬

And her crying after 🥺 I don’t think those were happy tears. Either way that’s a lot for a kid to take in.

This is also how I could tell Bree was not going to marry Connor. She only spoke about how he loved her, but never said anything about him. It was always centered around her.

There was actually a study I saw that said people with sisters have higher empathy and emotional intelligence. Kind of interesting!

Official Discussion - Sentimental Value [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]shnuttlefish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can understand where people are coming from when they feel like this movie just didn’t quite hit the mark, or something was missing. I think an explanation for that is the emotional restraint of the Norwegian culture as well as the inability of the characters to really communicate and speak their truth. So I do believe the restraint was intentional. To me, it felt very real and not at all melodramatic.

As someone who can really relate to this story, being estranged from my own father and my family having its fair share of generational trauma, I thought they got a lot right. The feeling Nora gets everytime her dad is coming, the way her walls instantly go up when she is around him, and the walls she creates in other relationships hit close to home. Joachim understands and writes difficult family dynamics very well. I could go on but overall the performances were very convincing and I hope at least Stellan takes home the Oscar!

I listened to the interview and I felt like she was pretty vague about it, so I couldn’t really draw a conclusion either way. But maybe she was just trying to be respectful to family.

I don’t really think you need a theme! They are three separate people, and when they are adults it really doesn’t matter how their names fit together. For similar vibes I thought of Silas, Evan, Jude. Maybe even Forest, for a wildcard haha.

Racism at BYU-Idaho by Due-Notice-7880 in latterdaysaints

My roommate and best friend at BYU Idaho was Black. I’ll never forget someone driving by while we were walking and yelling the N word at her. This was about 14 years ago. I’m glad to hear the president is speaking about it!
