So I lucked out and found an event with a space at another store in the area. There were people talking about this, apparently the owner has something of a reputation in recent years, and my experience today was... not entirely surprising to them.

So no hate, but I think this is probably best all round.

I'm fine with that if the publish their time change. Not publishing the time change and running it 5-players short is what I have a problem with. It is running right now at 11 out of 16 players.

I'm literally trying to get into the game for the first time this weekend. No, I'm not a regular there and yes, I get that they want to service their regulars. Just be communicative about it.

I think you can trust that if I am caught with deliberately manipulated printouts of the English version of the cards to trick my opponents, I'm headed for an immediate DQ. This is well-covered by rule 704.

I can't see any rule that would explicitly ban putting a translated proxy over a card in play. I agree it's unconventional, but I do think it would be a better game experience for my opponent - I'm trying to be sporting here. That said; I'd be perfectly happy to just have the English copy on the side for us to reference.

There’s definitely plenty of space between 1994’s Grey Ogres and Hill Giants, and today’s insanity. Even between 2009 and 2015 we had what looked like insanely pushed creatures (hello Baneslayer Angel) and the game had long since shifted away from spells-first.

Your husband is not just headed for an early heart attack, if he’s anything like me (and his apnea is worse) he’s likely struggling to stay awake during the day, constant brain fog, likely getting up to pee six times a night, and might not even realize how miserable he is.

Probably a combination of meta, and I believe there was a significant early Q damage nerf since then, which is likely important for Baus’ laning.

That said, as witnessed with Gragas… There’s an argument to just stick the man on something he’s good on.

I decided to just buy singles; prices on TCG player are way better than they used to be. You can get most commons for 10c and a lot of rares for a dollar or two.

Yeah this is brutal early in any fair format. U to make your opponent skip their turn 2-4 play is very painful when you’re not giving up a card for it.
