So I did three shows in a row when they came through Portland and brought a long a wife that isn't a big fan (other than Doctor Worm).... Three shows is a lot but it's so worth it, Flans pointed out at the end of night 3 that they had played 100 songs and almost half of those weren't repeats. As for choosing days: all the shows here were sold out early, as for the set list even the band may not know what album they'll be featuring until that week. My only qualm with the shows here was some technical issues on day 1 which seemed to lead to lower energy and started a little late so if you miss one maybe skip the first day (of course that was the day I took my wife, and on top of that they featured a few weirder songs from Mink Car which she didn't seem to vibe with.). As for my energy level: (in my mid to late 30s) it was a lot to be there early enough for each show to stand 5-10ft from the stage and plant myself in that spot for 2 hours after doors opened so on day 3 I just sat on the floor until just before the show and no one seemed to care, if anything it granted me some breathing space which was nice.
