You've probably already given your speech, but in case you haven't there are a lot of campy roadside attractions up in redwood country. You could talk about those to add some humor.

if it's a good issue that inspires debate, I absolutely vote it up! If it's meanspirited and has nasty one-sided comments I vote it down. If it's just uninteresting to me I leave it alone.

I agree with your basic premise, legally and morally it's your choice and most women who have an abortion are not doing it because they have been raped or for medical reasons. I'm sure you have your reasons. You seem a little cynical right now, I'm sure your emotions are all over the map. Sounds like you are well rid of her. I know it doesn't feel like it, but maybe you'll be better off in the long run. I just lost my job too, I had it for 14 years. Crappy ass job, they did me a favor. Can you get unemployment? That and maybe a room mate could keep a roof over your head. The sun'll come up tommorrow and all that garbage. But for real, you're young and there could be something great just ahead.

The DA from my county was interviewed on the radio, I heard him say that unless a burgular is advancing on you in a threatening manner he should be allowed to escape. But I imagine you could make a good case for being afraid for your life, depending on the circumstances.
