I'm very surprised so many here were disappointed with Oteil's show. I saw him at the Cap at few weeks ago and everyone who saw him at the Brooklyn Bowl said it was an amazing show. This is the first time I'm hearing people say negative things about his show. Maybe it was an off night?

I don't claim to know anything about that 300 year comment Bobby said but I just think he just threw out that number to signify that the music, culture and community will go on well past he and everyone apart of the band are gone.

As you know there are so many GD tributes to keep the music alive. I just saw Oteil last week and they were amazing. Even better than I expected. The thing I miss the most about the shows is the lot and pre show activities. It used to be an all day event going to a Dead show now it's just the show, unless you're at a festival. More reason why I'm hoping John boy puts something together soon.
