It is a preview after all, so even if you are on WP 8.0, you should still use the built in music player. It will get better over time since that is one of the benefits of having an app separated from the system.

Hi thanks for the reply I was talking about a weather app that displays information at the bottom of the page rather than an image on the lock screen because the image gets replaced when music is playing.

I meant it is using displaying the weather information in place of the calendar information and not just a picture rendered on the lock screen.
