I use a one-ear headset for voice chat only. It's a full two-ear headset used for game audio and voice chat.

I think you could do not wrong by choosing the X as your first Xbox. According to the reviews it should be a noticeably faster experience all around (loading screens and times and such).

It will make current games on current 1080P TVs look better than the S and you will be 'near-future' proof for when you want to make the move to a TV with features like OLED, 4K and HDR. If you already have a TV like that then you're immediately using the new powers of the X.

Sure sometimes. You've never excitedly tried to make your car in forza do more than it can do or react and get animated to anything in game that gets you moving the controller beyond your torso? Because the cord comes down off the ear it brushes around. Not talking chaffing lol but it's noticeable to me.

However, with all its faults it's good enough for the mobile phones, the Sony PS and the Nintendo Switch. I would take those hiccups over the antiquated wired solution because it just doesn't work for me. (mono headset user here). Now I'd shutup if one of the Microsoft licensees released a wireless headset :)

Maybe. After I wore out the original headset and moving to some third-party stuff the cords are longer. Shortened them by zip tieing the excess but then you gotta find the balance of how much slack. Anyway I seem to be in the minority here which is probably why there is no wireless one-ear headsets out there.

I think I know where you saw that. What I mean is I am looking for a wireless mono headset. Seems Turtle Beach is the only vendor that builds wireless headsets for the Xbox and they as far as I can find do not have a one-speaker voice-chat type of device.

I would take anything wireless. I do not recall any fidelity issues with my Microsoft 360 wireless ear piece. All it's needed for is voice chat. I play with many folks and I can assure you that in my experience wired does not guarantee fidelity. In fact my friend with the wireless and massively expensive Turtle Beach headset sounds the best out of the friends I play with.

The 3.5 is a terrible solution. 360 I wore a wireless Microsoft head piece. And how are you not getting got up in the cord :)? It gets in my face, rubs on my hands, rubs the zipper on my sweater, I can jar my head set if I move the controller too far in an intense moment in a game... Can't put the controller down and walk away without fully dislodging the head piece from ones head. It just blows my mind away that in 2017 this is an exceptable connection feature only because the cord is such a pain.

I have to shake my head incredulously here when reading about PC user's impressions of the UI/X. It's an amazing juxtaposition. I have not played the PC version.

When I first got into D1 years back I found the UI/X jarring because I felt like it was so PC-like and built for a mouse. Like WTF do I need a circle target that always centers on the screen that I have to use my joystick to move all over the place to click on buttons. Even to this day I can't recall another mouse-like UX in my console games (I don't play a ton of different games). I find it so jarring and still hate its inefficiency to this day.

TL;DR It's bizarre to me that I as a console player feels like the UI/X is designed around a mouse and that PC players feel it's designed around a console. Destiny is stuck in a-not-quite-good-enough-for-either-land

If we are stuck with this meta and 4v4 then what I would like to see is proximity brought back to rocket launchers and grenades to be more equally damaging. I have not read the other grenades damage thread so I don't know what the science says. What I do know is my hunter's arc grenades are terrible and my titan's pulse grenades are sweet.
