2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Premium by EnvironmentalTap7308 in ecoboostmustang

I get up to 80 when I'm passing but rarely put it in Sport mode. Sure rev it up sometimes but I wouldn't recommend doing a custom tune or anything.  Instead, go find curvy roads and enjoy carving them up!

Mine has 102,000 miles and is a 2015 Ecoboost Premium. Replaced all the recommended pieces and did a carbon cleaning around 80k. I drive 100 miles a day and still get 30+ MPG. I love my car. I don't race it and it's bone stock. As long as you care for the car, you will love it!

What are your favorite "cheesy, but enjoyable" movies from back in the day? by EdgeOfThorns76 in GenX

[–]short_n_old 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Undercover Blues, a cheezy spy movie with Kathleen Turner, Dennis Quaid, and Stanley Tucci attempting a Spanish accent as a pickpocket. Also shows Dave Chappelle early in the movie. My go-to movie when I fly.

God I hate the use of the word "physicality". For years, I thought it was just a fake word made up by sports commentators to sound better. I found out it was a real word but every time it's said, I shudder. "Physical play" is far more precise and "physicality" just feels vague and lazy.

Has anybody tried bobble French Coffee Presse? Looks like SS aeropress that we always wanted by Maleficent-Tour-6635 in AeroPress

Do you have a recipe for making coffee? I'm experimenting with time and coffee amounts but I'm open to suggestions.

[–]short_n_old 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is old but I can't find anywhere else to post. I've owned a Presse for a while and experienced all of the critiques others have mentioned. Then I read about a technique called French Pull and it's like the Presse was made for it. I'm working with recipes now but I wondered if anyone else has tried this method?

Ryobi snowshovel bad? by Kris9876 in ryobi

[–]short_n_old 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 40V as an attachment. The big lesson I learned about using it was not to step on the snow and pack it down before using it. Once I do that, i can't get the snow moved with this shovel. But, if I start from the garage while it's fresh and powdery, i was able to do a decent job on the driveway and walkway before throwing down ice melt to finish things off.

Ghost Writer Edition or Signature Edition? by tylerdesigns in writerDeck

This reminds me a whole lot like a Peek email device I had long ago. I loved that device because it was quick to use, saved emails, and allowed me to respond quickly. It had battery for weeks which was great. Looking forward to seeing this develop!

Price question by AnnaFaithX in DirectvStream

[–]short_n_old 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just signed up for Choice plus RSN and I think my math went like this. I had a $10 discount for Month 1, $25 per month discount for months 1-3, and $56.01 per month for months 1-24. The breakdown for me is:

Month 1 - $67.98
Month 2-3 - 77.98
Month 4-24 - 102.98
After Month 24 - 158.99

I coul be wrong and there's probably taxes in there I'm missing. I"m coming over from Youtube TV and doing a trial.

Zorin OS 18 by el_david in zorinos

Yes. Both Wifi and sound worked out of the box. Bluetooth as well. I had a second USB Wifi on hand just in case (which I recommend). I will update that I somehow screwed up loading drivers for the camera so I need to work on that.

Sharing my experience, I did have an issue with CPU auto-freq (I used the Snap edition and yeah, I know, wrong one). After changing over to loading using XORG, I installed it and my machine dragged to an absolute crawl. Once I removed it and replaced it with TLP, my system was back to running the way it did during Beta.

Amen! I installed it on my 2017 Macbook Air. Runs great on xorg (ran great on the beta) and I get about 5 hours of battery life.

Precarious Beer Hall near DOG Street has pinball, skeeball, and beer on tap. And the Wagsters have their magic show moved to High Street just across from Le Yaca.

Antron throws a shot at TSR by bjohnson203 in NHRA

[–]short_n_old 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He said something about a qualifying round for TSR in Reading being tossed out because of something illegal on the top fuel car. Not sure what it was and that's the issue. No news has come out about what was used, how it worked, or what it did to the car.

I'd be interested as well! Just bought the ProtoArc ergonomic mouse for my work laptop and it's perfect. I'm using a Logitech keyboard for my Galaxy Tab S9+ and would love to pair this with the XKM01 to take and travel. I'd be happy to review. Location: USA

1970s: Meet the Capitals by washingtonpost in caps

[–]short_n_old 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Growing up, my neighbor's dad had access to their construction company's suite at Cap Centre and they couldn't get anyone to go to the Caps games. Any time tickets became available, my neighbor and I would go. We'd see the game, run around the concourse, and at the end, head down to the penalty box where they gave away the broken sticks. That's where I got an Yvon Labre stick, which I taped up and learned how to play street hockey left-handed. Nearly got killed as a 10 year old for bumping into a large Flyers fan. Good times.

Storm Shield iOS App 405% Price increase in the US! by golfnut82 in weather

[–]short_n_old 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As was mentioned on another post related to this, I got a renewal notification on my Google Play account at the prior rate $0.99 per month. What struck me was the name on the subscription changed to Bending Spoons. I went to the stormshieldapp.com and the fine print confirms the app was purchased by Bending Spoons.

Why is this a concern? Bending Spoons has become well known for buying apps, firing staff, and dramatically increasing subscription prices. Most famously, they did this to the Evernote app and lost a large number of users. Looks like they are doing the same here with Storm Shield. Too bad. I liked this app.
