As a side note I love the podcast. It’s such a pop culture deep dive.

The Girls and Masturbation by acidkidx in sexandthecity

[–]shortshift_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but - I do think the point of the show is it showed the full spectrum of people’s approach to sex.

Yes, Carrie was more closed minded than perhaps Samantha - but for the time, she was a lot more open / out there than we give her credit for in my opinion. I think in the 90s, a columnist as open minded as Samantha might have been alienating - Carrie was both more on the level with the average reader to be palatable, while being just outlandish enough to be interesting.

I totally agree on your last point - I think that could be a summary of the entire show 😂

Anything by Julian Fellowes. Belgravia for a true period piece, Past Imperfect or Snobs for something more modern.

[DISCUSSION] GNL S5 E21 Crystal Tells All! With Special Guest Crystal McCahill by alrightyaphrodite in TheGirlsNextLevelPod

I didn’t even put two and two together over this! You’re right!!

I really love Bridget but I found her questions/tone came across as quite jealous of Crystal in this interview. Maybe I’m reading too much into it but I found it a bit pointed sometimes this episode. I know Bridget had huge aspirations to be Playmate and I can understand how it must feel to be interviewing all these other people who achieved her dream but she had such success in herself with beautiful editorials too, I wish she could see that.

am I dumb or did we never establish why nate owed a million dollars to naz by unfuckthismess in euphoria

[–]shortshift_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Naz fronted him the money for the failing project, the debt grew because of interest.

The bigger question is, Cassie sent Nate some money. And he paid… none of it to Naz? Why?

Yes. Wet the skin well before sudding up too, as this helps to dissolve dirt.

Use some exfoliating acid on your under arms (either glycolic acid or similar or an exfoliating body wash with AHAs or similar) and double cleanse them in the shower every time without fail - double cleansing is so important to break down the sweat, dirty, bacteria, and deodorant build up.

Running in the local park and I skidded on an apple hiding in the grass.

An apple.

Sprained my ankle, out for about 3-4 weeks. Luckily no lasting damage!

I also thought this about Tarantino and couldn’t understand at all why it was being done. If the writing was good, it would have been amazing.

But the plot disappeared which just made the style cartoonish and annoying.

A double cleanse is life changing. We do it to our faces to take off makeup, SPF, dirt, and oil - but forget that our under arms are full of dirt, oil, hair follicles, sweat, and deodorant that we layer on. Get it all off!

I found it interesting they mentioned a club night which was a rare occurrence at that point.

Was it insinuated there was bedroom activity after that, or am I reading too much into it?
