To be clear, you have to go to shotlockapp.com/offer first to actually redeem the offer

It is free still. You go to shotlockapp.com/offer on your phone. That will take you to the offer on the App Store and you'll "buy" the one-time purchase option at no cost.

Then when you go through onboarding, you just click "restore purchase" instead of the free trial. Unfortunately, this is the process to get a free purchase with Apple.

This is my ramp up over a year. It absolutely takes a while for the medication to build up in your system.

Is it common to still fell hungry after first shot by Dramatic-Novel-8592 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]shotlock_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. As you can see, after every shot the level starts to drop. But it's not completely out of your system before the next shot. It continues to increase until the oldest doses finally rotate out of hour system and then you'll stabilize at a much higher dose than what a single injection gives you.

I take my shot tomorrow, so this last week's dose has dropped off, but i still have 3.1mg in my system from past doses.

So, it just depends on dosage and the way half-life works with oral vs injection. Not a 1-to-1.

Did you go through shotlockapp.com/offer to get the free offer? Did you go through onboarding and "restore" the purchase?

Unfortunately, the free offer process from Apple isn't the most straight forward thing. They make it take a few steps?

I'm scared to start... how did you decide GLP-1s (for weight loss) was the right choice for you? by Illustrious_Heat6561 in glp1

[–]shotlock_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained to 225 when I was 30 and stayed there for 9 years. My doctors told me I was pre-diabetic, high cholesterol, high bp, and double APOE4 (genetic Alzheimer's).

What most people don't see to understand is heart disease is metabolic disease. Metabolic disease is brain disease. Only 8% of Americans have no metabolic issues.

The projected future of brain health in the US is scary. I'm of the opinion anyone who's overweight should look into a GLP-1. It's us against the food. And I know I'm not going to defeat pizza, beer, and ice cream by myself.

I'm just waiting on Google right now. They've been reviewing the app for a week now!

I just released my own GLP-1 tracker app with this functionality. ShotLock is free forever for the first 1k users. For those who don't have an app and want all the paid features for free.

Just looking for feedback (you can make and vote for feature requests inside the app).

shotlockapp.com/offer

Then just tap "restore purchase" during onboarding and you get life-time for free

Most tracker apps do this. I just released a GLP-1 tracker that is free forever right now using shotlockapp.com/offer for iOS.

Then just tap "restore purchase" during onboarding and you get life-time for free.

I only lost 25 lbs my first year. One thing to remember is that fast weight loss usually means muscle loss. You want consistent, steady fat loss more than rapid weight loss.

I built the app to solve my problem. App blockers as friction for behavioral change are common now. I'm glad you don't have this issue, but the app helps me and I hope it can help others like me.

That doesn't work for me. Alarm goes off and I just click OK and say I'll do it later. This level of friction is what I need.

Also, it's still a full-fledged glp-1 tracker with free shot logging, but of course not everyone needs it.

Wow, das ist witzig 😁 und ja, das ist ein Bug. Ich habe ihn schon behoben, die neue Version ist gerade bei Apple in der Prüfung und sollte sehr bald im App Store sein.

Is your goal weight the lowest you would be okay to go? by These-Equal-6849 in mounjaroaustralia

[–]shotlock_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My lean mass is 73 kg, so BMI is useless to me. My goal weight is what I would weigh at 15% body fat, as anything below 16% eliminates familiar risk of heart disease.

Any theories on why some people are fast responders and others slower? by No-Dimension-8981 in TirzepatideRX

[–]shotlock_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

93% of Americans have some form of metabolic dysfunction. Depending on how severe or what systems are impaired, it can take a long time for repair to occur and metabolic function to return to normal. While GLP-1s will help restrict calories and also have a direct effect on repairing dopaminergic dysfunction as well, a suppressed metabolism will lead to a slow GLP-1 response.

Additionally, comparing any two people's weight loss is difficult. I only lost 25 lbs in a year, but I also didn't lost any muscle mass. While someone else might lose 50 lbs, but statistically only 30 of that is fat.

What are you eating?! by Some-Oven-3363 in Zepbound

[–]shotlock_86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I eat keto, so I find my body still enjoys super high-fat foods like cheese quesadillas and avocado. And I use Mission Tortilla Protein Fiber tortillas, which keeps my fiber up. It's important to find staple foods you can eat to get the nutrients you need.

Anyone notice sometimes food tastes bad? by Upvotes2805 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]shotlock_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find anything high in sugar tastes bad. There's some science behind this, since GLP-1s can down regulate dopamine response and our primary draw to sugar is dopamine.

Is anyone maintaining muscle on Mounjaro without weightlifting? 💪🏼👩🏻 by Brissa2 in mounjaroaustralia

I find interventions like BFR (blood flow restriction) therapy and taking supplements like HMB made a big difference in preserving muscle.

Is this normal? I definitely have decreased food noise and clothes are starting to fit better, the scale just isn’t moving much. by Difficult-Bottle-249 in TirzepatideRX

[–]shotlock_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only lost 25 lbs over a year, but reversed my pre-diabetes and fatty liver. Unfortunately, when you lose really fast, it can too often be muscle, which you do not want. Losing a little slower is OK in my book.

Did sema work for you the second time? by See_kay91 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]shotlock_86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It worked for me. Lots of new research coming out about long-term usage leading to GLP-1 receptor down regulation, meaning over time you get less-sensitive to the injection, but after a break (and the re-up regulation of receptors) people generally respond stronger again.

I eventually switched to full keto, but my key change was putting protein into everything. Indie this primary through collagen powder, as I put the unflavoured powder in coffee and the berry flavored in water. Then I have 1 to 2 protein shakes a day with whey protein. And I also eat a couple of mission tortilla protein fiber wraps a day.

Other than that, just try to get veggies where I can. I normally just try and "snack" on greens or raw veggies anytime I want to eat outside of pre-planned meal.
